The Spotted Rabbit isn’t just a toy store...

It’s made up of little moments we’ll never forget.

Clothing Exchange: Everything You Need to Know ♻️

One of our favourite parts of The Spotted Rabbit is giving beautiful children’s clothing a second life.

To help keep our exchange program running smoothly, here’s everything you need to know before bringing in your items.

👕 What We Accept
We accept children’s clothing from newborn to size 8.

Accepted items include:
• T-shirts
• Long sleeves
• Sweaters
• Pants & leggings
• Shorts
• Dresses
• Overalls
• Seasonal outerwear

✨ Condition Matters
We carefully curate every piece that goes onto our sales floor.
Please bring clothing that is:

✔️ Freshly washed
✔️ In like-new condition
✔️ Free of stains
✔️ Free of pilling
✔️ Free of holes, tears or worn areas

Our goal is to offer families a beautiful, high-quality shopping experience, so we only accept pieces we’d be proud to display in the store.

🚫 We Do Not Accept
• Pyjamas
• Undergarments
• Bathing suits
• Used toys
• Used accessories
• Other non-clothing items

🛍️ Drop-Off Guidelines
• Up to 30 carefully selected pieces per visit
• Clothing drop-offs are accepted every day except Saturday

Most days, we’re able to review your clothing while you browse the store. During busy times, we may ask you to return later so we can carefully assess each item.

💛 How Store Credit Works
For every item we accept, you’ll receive 30% of our retail selling price, in store credit.

Your store credit can be used on anything in the store—from thoughtfully curated toys and books to gifts and pre-loved clothing.

This allows us to continue building a sustainable, community-driven clothing exchange while keeping beautiful children’s clothing in circulation.

Thank you for helping us create a community that values quality, sustainability, and giving children’s clothing another chance to be loved.

At the heart of The Spotted Rabbit has always been a simple goal: keeping children’s clothing out of the landfill and giving beautiful pieces a second (or third!) life. ♻️

As our clothing exchange program continues to grow, we’re making a small change that better reflects the values that are so important to us.

Moving forward, all clothing accepted through our exchange program will be paid out in store credit only. That credit can be used on anything in the store—new, pre-loved, toys, books, gifts, and more.

Why the change? Because we truly believe in the power of circular fashion. Our hope is that families will continue to bring in the clothing their children have outgrown and, in turn, shop our incredible selection of pre-loved pieces for the next season of childhood.

This initiative is incredibly close to Emily and Jen’s (very thrifty) hearts. By choosing to buy and sell pre-loved, our community is helping reduce waste, extend the life of quality clothing, and keep thousands of items out of the landfill each year.
