New life is breathed into old clothes and fabrics through the ancient art of nuno felting. Nuno, or sandwhich, felt is the combination of unspun wool fibres with a base natural fabric such as silk, cotton or wool. Scraps of lace, old silk scarves, knit skirts, cashmere sweaters, and a whole world of fabrics are felted with wool to create an array of wearable art objects. Please browse through our
photo albums to see the range of products. We can also turn your treasured clothing into a one of a kind creation or work with you to create a custom piece from existing stock. ReHeat is the epitome of buy local through local labour, local clothing, local wool products and local soap for felting. We also offer workshops, if you and/or a group of friends wish to learn how to nuno felt. Send us a message for more information or pricing or come visit at the SeaPort Farmers Market from September to June.
