This beautiful quilt was commissioned by a couple to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary. We collaborated on color, gradient, pattern and block shape on this queen size quilt. Congratulations to my clients on 20 years and thank you for allowing me to be a small part of celebration.

I just finished Charlotte’s graduation quilt-she will be bringing this to university in the fall to cozy up her dorm room! Huge thank you to Amanda for her long arming magic!!! Pattern is called Joplin by Toad & Sew.

New quilt finish! I have 2 very large quilts at the long armer and wanted a smaller project to work on while I’m waiting for those to come back to me. This is a free pattern from Then Came June, called Peanut Butter Quilt. Comes together quickly, and I made it 36inches square. Perfect for a new baby.

I have finished this 70x90 scrappy heart quilt for a client! I used so many of my favorite floral prints in this piece. I hope she loves it as much as I do! Quilting by Amanda Neilson. Heart pattern by Cluck Cluck Sew and striped binding designed by 3rd Story Workshop.

The Secret Codes explores quiltmaking's unique tradition and evolution in Nova Scotia’s Black communities over the past century. Presenting works by more than twenty-five quiltmakers and painters, the exhibition highlights the ways that quilts have functioned as decorated blankets, as coded communication for people escaping slavery, as documentary records of community and family history, as a celebration of Black women and Black culture, and as a foundation for other art forms.

The line is called Sweet Spring and yardage is available to purchase from Hawthorne Supply Co.

I just finished this brightly colored Ebb and Flow quilt (pattern by Penelope Handmade). My client chose the backing , it’s a gorgeous wax cotton from a print house in Ghana. So lovely to work with that beautiful fabric, and of course that was my jumping off point for choosing all the front fabrics.

Sharing the beginning of a quilt that I’m making for my youngest daughter-she is graduating high school in June so I’m making her a quilt to bring to university with her. This is called the Joplin by Toad & Sew.
