There are a few things I’d like to share with you …

🤍PERSONAL LIFE🤍
My husband and I are expecting our second baby, another boy, due in May 2023. Boy mama!☺️ The shop will be slower, more intentional and I’ll be taking time to create behind the scenes in order to provide small batch “drops” of magically handmade one-of-a-kind items as I’m able to.

🚨HOLIDAY ORDERING🚨
There will be a limited availability for holiday ordering and items will be paired down on the website. The site will be open on NOVEMBER 6th at 9AM PST for ALL final holiday orders. It will be open for *24 hours only* so please mark your calendars. A reminder: Canada Post is often overwhelmed at this time of year so please keep in mind their lead times will be delayed and this is not something within my control. Local pickup is always an option at checkout.

There is only ONE market I’ll be attending this fall/winter and it’s going to be fantastic. Join me @ Southlands Tsawwassen this holiday season for The Collective Markets’ Christmas Market. Please see my previous post for more details and links to additional information.

📌SHOP MODEL📌
Going forward, the website will be password protected and only open periodically for 24hrs before being password protected again. It will open once a month or so for regular orders and I’ll put the reopen date in my bio. New collection drops will be released as they are completed. Princess hats, magic wings, whimsical purses and other under-wraps items are being perfected in the studio as we speak. Please keep your eyes and ears open for details on what’s coming first.

The biggest hustle time for this shop has always been over the Fall/Winter holidays. People carefully selecting keepsake items for their loved ones; the familiar jingle sound of transactions happily chiming away on my phone. I often found myself working into the wee hours every night and pushing myself to keep up with the demand for handmade magic. Revelling in the glory of owning my own successful business - a phrase I never knew would feel comfortable on my tongue. It’s all sugarplum fairies and warm fuzzies around the holidays … and I believe it when they say it’s the most wonderful time of the year.

But then there’s sweet summertime.
We long for it all year and yet it still somehow creeps up on us in the most delicately fleeting way. With the sun’s promise of positivity, the endless light that carries itself into the night and the feeling of delight when a cool breeze skips across your skin. It’s like you’d almost forgotten what being loved by the Earth felt like. It’s a divinely planned time for a deep breath.

The shop has now entered its slow season. The majority of Summer birthday orders have already been carefully picked out, ordered and fulfilled. Thank you.

In this new season, I will be continuing my development of the limited and long-awaited “Into The Forest” collection in collaboration with as well as ironing out the kinks in my other creative W+W endeavours and trudging through the pile of back-of-house tasks that seem to have a multiplying hex on them.

🤍Don’t you ever feel discouraged if you are a shop owner whose business ebbs and flows. Put the itch of comparison away. Open your tired hands to the sun and enjoy the richness that comes from them being still.🤍

✨HEY PALS✨

It’s officially the summer season and things are getting a little bananas around here with our never ending activity schedules, road trips and other family commitments.

Some updates:

✨ I’ve been working behind the scenes on my dream collaboration with and I can’t wait to share more sneak peeks!

✨ If you watched my stories on Friday from the at you would have seen that there are many new items available for purchase that haven’t made their way onto the website yet but soon will and you’re going to love them!

✨ My social media presence is slowing down a bit this season so I can focus my energies on being present in my day-to-day life. Soaking in all those sunscreened snuggles.

There are certain things in my studio that make wylde + whim possible…

Here are a few things I can’t live without:
1. A rotary cutter - These things are sharp as heck and terrify me, but boy do they ever work well. Can’t help but feel like I’m gonna draw blood every time I use them though. Ahhh.
2. A little hand broom - At any given time, my studio is covered top to bottom in sequins and glitter and this little contraption works like a charm on the cutting table.
3. A space heater - It’s like an igloo in there. I’ve even worn my fluffy bathrobe on occasion. Cozy as F.
4. LAMPS, so many lamps - My studio is in a pretty dark spot in the house so I have at least 3 lamps on when I’m in there or else I feel like I’m a bat in a cave.

Lastly, I absolutely can’t work without a good show or podcast on in the background. Recently I’ve been trying to watch Outlander and *unpopular opinion alert* I’m not into it.🫣
