Over the course of the pandemic, I've picked up crocheting as a hobby and have grown to love it.

🦖💟 - just your friendly neighbourhood,… barney HAHAHAHA

I’m still trying to figure out how I feel about this one. I grew up watching barney all the time & have a mountain of vcr tapes lying around somewhere in the storage. Although this isn’t how I had imagined my take on barney, i’m happy that I gave it my best shot & /hopefully/ he kind of resembles the silly friend I once knew.

froglava alert 🐸🌱🍵🪷

this balaclava is seriously soooooooo fluffy & warm, i’m obsessed !!!

some highlights from this project:
- Working with chunky yarn after so many cotton-based / light weight yarn is like a breath of fresh air. I forgot how quickly things work up & that feeling of fulfillment never gets old.
- Winging this project sprung up two emotions: 1. joy because innovation can actually be fun sometimes when you don’t have a roadmap, 2. frustration because not having a roadmap means you may need to undo the entire project just to fix an error from an earlier section (aH). I think it’s cool that the projects I’ve made in the past have given me enough confidence to be able to try things on my own terms just based on a silly idea.
- By the time I finished the project, it finally snowed!! I was kind of sad of not having snow for Christmas so I guess this makes up for it.

I want to try incorporating more doodles into my posts this year, so here’s the first of *hopefully* many!

appa & momo take a trip to earth kingdom 🥬(why is there no cabbage emoji 😠 )

this project brought up so many childhood memories that I have with this series. Growing up my house was often filled with TFC or GMA LOL so this was one of the shows that comforted me & made me feel like my own age. I hope this brings you comfort & nostalgic memories too 🤸‍♀️

side note: my brother said this version of appa looks like one of the founding fathers & I can’t unsee it so i’m leaving that info with you too HAHAHAHAHA

HAHA jokes aside this was such a fun project for a friend! It took a little longer than I had anticipated but it was so worth it in the end 🤩

new summer staple alert 🚨

I had this project on pause for a good year because I kept undoing the work to fix mistakes & ended up just tossing it to the side. But I knew I didn’t want this yarn to go to waste because it’s literally the softest cotton blend i’ve ever had. can’t wait to wear this out on my trip & the rest of the summer 😚
