Like many of you, we are saddened to hear that this year’s Duncan Days parade has been cancelled. Decisions like this are never made lightly, and there are so many people who dedicate countless hours behind the scenes to make events like these happen. I’d like to recognize and thank everyone who has put their time, energy, and heart into Duncan Days over the years.
While the parade won’t be taking place, Duncan Days is still happening, and it’s more important than ever to show up for our community.
Local businesses, vendors, organizers, volunteers, and community groups spend months planning for this weekend. Events like Duncan Days bring people together, create opportunities for small businesses, and help keep our downtown alive.
We know many people and businesses are facing challenging times right now. That is exactly why community support matters so much. Support does not always have to mean spending money. It can be attending the event, sharing posts, telling friends and family about it, or helping spread the word.
If you want to do more than just show up, volunteers are always needed. Even a few hours of your time can make a difference.
