Fall wedding season 🍁💗

I’ve been receiving a lot of questions about dressing for weddings and formal events this time of year:

Nylons or bare legs?
What do I layer over my dress to stay warm without ruining the look?
What footwear? Is open toed too summery?

At the end of the day, do you! But if the thought of figuring that out stresses you, call me 😁

The Croatia Chronicles: 1 of 2

This was my first time visiting Croatia and now I get the hype 😍 From its stunning beaches to Dubrovnik’s Old Town to the delicious food…there’s no shortage of beauty and charm in every town.

As for a few of my Croatia looks:

1. I wanted to bring pops of colour to the cobblestone streets so I colour-blocked with this bodysuit, mini skirt, and jelly basket tote 🧡💗💛 I married all of these colours within this bold print headband.

2. Cobalt beach blue 💙 I played with the neckline of this one-piece and styled it a few ways: 1) Off the shoulder, 2) V-neck, 3) One shoulder strap. Which do you prefer?

3. A tube top & maxi skirt 🖤🤎 I love a tube top for the sake of avoiding tan lines and there’s nothing better than an elastic waist, lightweight maxi skirt…it’s comfy and effortlessly chic.

The long weekend is around the corner so what better time to discuss swimwear cover-ups 🏊🏼‍♀️☀️🙌🏽

It was a HOT day when we filmed this show and we were by a pool 💦 Did we jump in?! Did someone push me in?! Am I making up these questions so you’ll watch?! You’ll have to tune in to find out 😁

When you dress for Miami but you live in Toronto 😌🥶

So I didn’t get the memo that it was going to become “pack a jacket” weather on Friday night… But that didn’t stop me from finding a new way to style one of my favourite pieces from last summer.

For the 2 people who read my captions and remember them, this is “The White Swan” 🦢 top circa summer 2021.

I accidentally put it on with a sleeve hiding under one arm and realized that might be my new favourite way to style it. I kept the accessories in the same colour family as this floral, high-slit skirt. I finished the look with a coral clutch that I’ve had for a decade, my mom’s vintage floral earrings and these white pointy toed mules that I’ve had for a couple of years too.

It’s my 3 year Insta-versary! 🎉🎉🎉

If you Googled me in May of 2019, all that you would’ve found was my ratemyteachers.com rating 👩🏻‍🏫 I knew I wanted to build my brand and business as a Fashion Stylist and I knew Instagram was the perfect starting place.

Fast forward to today, and it’s incredible to witness what can happen in three years.

From day one supporters to those who just joined me today, I appreciate you being here. Thanks very much for supporting me and my business 🙏🏽💗

Baaaston 🇺🇸

It was a trip of firsts…

First plane ride since 2019 ✈️
First lobster roll 🦞
First American closet cleanse 🧼
First communions 🙏🏽💗💗
First time I hugged my best friend since March 2020 🥲❤️

Boston was everything everyone told me it would be and more….a beautiful, walkable city with lots of charm and history.

I packed blue lens glasses to try and fit in at Harvard. And a collegiate sweater vest. Too much? Probably 🤓

Guess who turned 18 today and is going to be on Cityline with me this Friday?!?…

My niece, Mackenzie 🥳😍🙌🏽💗

When I was a kid, my Uncle Dave started a tradition of taking me shopping for my birthday. We’d head straight to Jacob Jr (R.I.P.) at Erin Mills Town Centre to find a look I loved.

With the fondest memories of shopping with my Uncle, I carried on that tradition with my nieces and nephews. So shopping with Mackenzie for her birthday AND Cityline was truly the best of both worlds 🥰

Mack, I’m so proud of you and I’ve loved watching you become such an intelligent, strong and beautiful young woman over the last 18 years 🥺 You understood my humour from birth and inherited it (sorry). Keep shining bright…I love you ❤️

A little wayback wardrobe Wednesday 💃🏻

Throwing it back to the late 80s when Mr. Potato Head was THE recess toy and I prioritized entertainment over sanitation 😬 Also, no comment on my bangs.

I recently came across these pics and realized, 1) My style has remained pretty consistent 💙💜 and 2) I’ve been preparing for remote Cityline segments from a young age 😁

As a kid, I loved presentations and performing but anxiety and fear got the best of me in my 20s and some of my 30s. Through teaching and improv, I was able to chip away at those barriers and return to doing the things I once loved 🙏🏽

What brought you joy as a kid? I hope you can do more of that 💗

Home filming Cityline, that is 😀(I’ve had slightly better caption segues, I know).

I can officially say that I’m part of the filming-TV-from-home club now 🙋🏻‍♀️🎥🏠 This Friday, I’m back on for my first 2 Fashion Friday segments of 2022!! I’ll be talking about styling red 💃🏻 and handkerchief scarf styling 🧣

I was channeling my inner Mrs. Maisel (Prime series character) while shooting these segments in this gorgeous dress from 💃🏻 and beautiful pumps from 👠

Hair Stylist, Makeup Artist, Photographer, Fashion Stylist, Set Designer, Model, Videographer, Lighting, Creative Director, Furniture Mover….

“A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles.” - Unknown

Dreams literally came true for me this year and I couldn’t be more thankful. Although my comfort level fought me hard, “faith over fear” guided me and I thank God for the blessings that followed.

Here are some of my favourite moments from 2021:

1. When took pics of me on a cold day for my 40th. Nearby joggers stopped and I almost said “thank you”, anticipating a compliment, but instead, they said, “Aren’t you freezing??“

2. Announcing to my family that I would be on with a large sign that read, “I’m going to be on Cityline!” I swear this was more climactic in person.

3. When mistook me for at Yes, I had a mask on and Jenn was blinded by runway spotlights, BUT still…

4. Being recognized by This organization IS the epitome of women supporting women and I’m so proud to be a part of it ❤️

5. Turning 40 and being fortunate enough to celebrate with fam & friends 🎈

6. Collaborating with .productions as their in-house Fashion Stylist 🤗 I hope my car battery dies in front of Michael B Jordan’s house next time.

7. When selected me as 1 of 10 creators to rep Canada’s first Creator Class 😍 Thanks & for living up to the principles Pinterest preaches ❤️❤️

8. When I filmed my first segment and was still alive after it. My prayer before filming was to not 💩 myself, swear, or embarrass my family. Shoutout to my guardian angels for ensuring none of those happened. And a bigger shoutout to for giving me the chance of a lifetime and welcoming me on to a team I’m so proud to be a part of 🙏🏽

9. My summer shoot with I had a tentative date that night and was excited because I was already dressed up. The guy I was supposed to go out with asked to reschedule because he had to catch up on Dateline.

If you’re still reading, congrats on your attention span but more importantly, thanks SO much for being here and for ALL of your love & support this year 🙏🏽🤍
