African prints aren’t just fashion — they’re stories ✨

This skirt was made with my first ever Ghanaian Ankara Kente fabric, purchased about 13 years ago during an “unsanctioned” school departmental road trip to Accra, Ghana 🇬🇭. It was my first (still my only) trip to Ghana and I remember really wanting to get original Kente because I heard a lot about it 😄.

I think about that time, especially when I look at this skirt. I wanted to create something timeless and versatile — something I could wear for years. I’m so glad that, many years later, I can still put it on and carry those stories with me 💛… and there are many stories with this one 😅
