Your morning impacts the rest of your day & I believe you deserve a calm Wedding morning filled with joy 🥰

Although some of the things that come up on Wedding morning can’t be planned for, my years as a Wedding glam professional have taught me that these simple things help everyone stay calm, present and joyful during the getting ready part of the Wedding morning.

What Ashley (& her gals) did to make sure the morning was calm:
✨ they steamed and hung their dresses the night before (Ashley did her veil too)
✨ Ashley had her details sitting in a box for her wonderful photographer, Emma, to grab as soon as she walked in (no rushing around or digging through your stuff for your vow book & perfume bottle)
✨ EVERYONE knew the schedule & Ashley didn’t have to answer 8393928 questions while she was sitting in my chair - shoutout to the girls for not asking any more planning questions and being able to answer questions that came up 🔥
✨ everyone ate lots of food and snacks and drinks tons of water 💦

What I did to make sure the morning was calm:
✨ showed up with a warm and caring presence
✨ prepped & sanitized my kit, memorized your schedule & got a good nights rest the day before
✨ made sure no one left my chair without feeling radiant
✨ gave Ashley a lil extra tlc on her face massage💆🏼‍♀️
✨ invested time and money on education to ensure I’m always elevating my professional standards
✨ worked alongside the amazing Emma | Edmonton + Destination Wedding Photographer , we are TEAM BRIDE at the end of the day and it’s a bonus that she’s such an awesome human and obviously a WICKED photographer 🫶🏼

Morgan was my Victoria Secret Angel Bride from last year and I’m still obsessed with how her eyes turned out - she said “make my eyes POP” 👀✨ & I did just that 👩🏻‍🍳

Easily my favourite Bridal hairstyle I have done and it’s even more special that I got to do it for the sweetest human ever, Dee Repato Imagery || YEG Photographer 🩷 When she asked me to be a part of her day, I knew I would drop everything for this soft & gentle soul and I’m so lucky this beautiful Edmonton Wedding industry brought our paths together ✨

I also thinks it’s a lil funny how one of the styles that used to intimidated me the most (updos & French twists 🥐) have easily become one of my favourite hairstyles for anyone and everyone!!

🩷 It also helps when everyone is so beautiful inside and out. So thankful to have been a part of her special day and to have helped Amy & her kind, angelic Bridesmaids last year!

YIKES… it’s time for Hayley’s Wedding morning spooky story (& proof that wedding mornings can sometimes not go according to plan) 👻

The morning of Hayley’s wedding, she woke up with an allergic reaction to the glue from her lash extensions she got the day before. Her eyes were almost swollen shut, she was so uncomfortable and of course, she was worried. However, shoutout to Hayley for staying oddly calm and trusting in my expertise 🥰

Here’s why professionals matter: it’s all about adapting while still achieving the desired outcome. Instead of increasing her pencil, we got her some non-drowsy allergy meds and she laid down with an icepack on her eyes for twenty minute intervals until the swelling went down. I was focused on making her feel comfortable and confident 🩷

Looking at these videos, you’d never know what her morning started off like. Honestly, that’s one of the biggest parts of my job, not just creating beautiful Bridal makeup, but staying calm, helping you pivot and coming up with a game plan when you are decision-fatigued out!
