“This is my first post on this topic...and my last”

I love this!!!

People who take offence to “black lives matter” don’t understand what minorities face everyday!
Black lives matter doesn’t only refer to black lives but all minority lives...

In 2020...I face racism everyday!!!!
As a child/young adult I faced racism everyday!!!
In 40 years nothing HAS CHANGED!!!!
I hope that the next generation will not face racism!!!

“White” people don’t understand this because they DON’T face racism...

I’m tiered of people referring me as “you people”....I never said anything(until now)
For a few reasons...
I’m scared because I’m a single women of colour and I live on my own.
I’m scared to offend my customers(I’m an entrepreneur)
But for some reason NOW IT FEELS DIFFERENT!!!
For goodness sakes it 2020!!!!
Let’s change the world for the next generation!!! I know it won’t change in my generation...

re: COVID-19 super flea market temporary closure
We are writing to share an update on how we are addressing COVID-19 in our operations at Super Flea Market Edmonton.
As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we are always considering what is best for the health and safety of our staff, our VENDORS and the CUSTOMERS that we serve. It is important to Super Flea Market to play our part in keeping our communities safe.
We have already taken the following steps to lessen the risk of spreading COVID-19 and we’re taking further precautions to help address this unique, ever-evolving situation. Alberta Health Services has provided us with criteria for environmental cleaning in public facilities.
We have made the decision to limit our hours of operation until further notice. As of Monday, March 16th, our FLEA MARKET will be closed temporarily for the coming weekends . We will continue to update our customers thru social media and on our doors at the flea market
Please check our website, and social media for updates on our plan forward for RE-Opening
We are grateful for the support we’ve received from our vendors, and customers. We’re lucky to have a market community that’s so thoughtful and concerned for the greater community.
