Parents ask me this a lot: “How do I know if my kid is actually happy?” 💛

Here’s the truth — happy kids rarely announce it. They just... act like themselves. Watch for these instead:

1️⃣ The volume goes up around you.
Loud, silly, a little unhinged? That’s not “too much energy” — that’s a kid who feels safe enough to drop the filter.

2️⃣ You get dragged into everything.
“Come look at this bug.” “Watch me do this.” “I made you something out of tape.” Annoying at 6pm, but it’s connection in disguise.

3️⃣ Random creativity shows up out of nowhere.
Made-up songs about socks. Jokes that don’t land. A story with 14 plot twists. That’s a brain that feels free enough to play.

4️⃣ They narrate their whole life to you — unprompted.
Every tiny update, every random thought — it’s their way of saying “I want you in my world.”

5️⃣ Bedtime turns into a therapy session.
Lights off, and suddenly they’re telling you everything they’ve been holding all day. That’s not stalling — that’s trust.

None of this means you’re doing it perfectly. It just means you’re doing it right. 💛
