🪩 DISCO POP UP 🪩

Some collaborations are planned. Others arrive through a single unexpected connection.

We first met Christine of Knockout Designs when we commissioned the mirrored disco unicorn featured on this poster. What arrived was more than a piece of art. Along with the unicorn came a handmade Keanu Reeves zine, thoughtful details, and the unmistakable feeling that this was someone who puts genuine care, humour, and heart into everything she creates.

Since then, Christine has become a friend and part of the Mercurius family. You'll see her creations all over our shop.

Many of you have also met her legendary Disco Yogi Queen mannequin, a familiar sight at festivals like The Womp and Disco in the Park. What began as a temporary foster home has quietly become a permanent adoption, and Disco Yogi Queen now calls Mercurius home. We are overjoyed.

To celebrate Christine's work and support a local artist we deeply admire, we're throwing a daytime Disco Pop Up featuring a collection of her one-of-a-kind mirrored creations and disco treasures.

To help bring the energy, we've invited three incredible DJs to soundtrack the day:

Alongside tarot readings, community connection, dancing, and all the curious magic that tends to emerge when good people gather.

Mercurius experienced another instance of theft this week. Twice within a two day period, the same individual returned to steal even more from us. We did not recognize him at first as he dressed and looked completely differently. We’re sharing footage in the hopes that someone may recognize the individual involved. If you have any information, please send us a private message.

As a small independent business, incidents like this have a real impact. Unlike large corporations, every loss affects our ability to support local artists, makers, practitioners, musicians, and community events. Many of the items in our shop are created by independent vendors whose livelihoods depend on fair exchange.

Mercurius was built to be a welcoming space rooted in community, creativity, and connection. Having that trust violated is disheartening, not only for us, but for the many people whose work fills these shelves.

And as a reminder: if you love small businesses, please support them. Shop local when you can. Share their posts. Tell your friends about them. Every act of support matters.

What a beautiful weekend with ZumGarden at Mercurius. ✨

The patio was buzzing, the Emerald Room was full of life, and our little corner of 124 Street was overflowing with music, creativity, connection, and community. Weekends like this remind us exactly why we opened Mercurius in the first place.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came by to shop, explore, dance, connect, and support local artists and makers. The energy was absolutely incredible.

And we’re just getting started...

For one groovy weekend, Bolli Imports takes over Mercurius once again.

Join us June 27–28 for two days of vibrant clothing, fresh finds, festival fashion, handcrafted treasures, great music, and the kind of community energy that keeps people hanging around a little longer.

We'll be opening up the patio, filling the shop with colour, and spinning tunes all weekend long with sets from Miss Kitty, Shakoki Sounds, Polyesterday, and Ben Dover.

The Wind Down is shaping up to be something truly special this year 🌌✨

We’re beyond excited to be the official HARD COPY ticket location for this beautiful community gathering happening September 18–20, 2026.

Featuring artists including Sivz, Kytami + Phonik Ops, Fort Knox Five, Freddy J and so many more to be announced — this is one of those weekends that reminds us why we fell in love with festival culture in the first place. Music, connection, art, parades, live performances, magic, late night conversations, and that feeling you can’t quite explain unless you’ve lived it.

And perhaps what we love most of all is that it’s family friendly. We truly believe children are the future, and there’s something incredibly special about kids being raised within communities rooted in creativity, expression, music, and wonder. It shapes the way they see the world in a way that’s hard to replicate.
