THANK YOU, TRAVIS TOEWS — NOW IT’S TIME TO LEAD.

You have spoken clearly: Alberta is stronger within Canada than outside of it.

Many Albertans who consider themselves conservatives agree with you. They believe in lower taxes, responsible government, a strong economy, and a united Canada. They do not support using separation politics to divide Albertans.

The question now is: who will bring those voices together?

Travis, perhaps the time has come to gather the conservatives who have been sidelined, pushed out, or who chose to leave because they could no longer support the direction the UCP has taken under Danielle Smith. There are former MLAs, party members, volunteers, community leaders, and longtime conservatives who still believe in conservative principles without embracing separation.

Albertans deserve a conservative movement focused on jobs, affordability, healthcare, education, and economic growth, not endless constitutional battles and separation campaigns.

Thank you, Travis Toews, for standing up for a strong Alberta within a united Canada.

Now many Albertans are asking: will you help unite the conservatives who still believe Alberta’s future is in Canada?

Real leadership isn’t about dividing people. It’s about bringing them together.
Travis Toews

ATHANA MENTZELOPOULOS: WHISTLEBLOWER OR TARGET?

When Athana Mentzelopoulos became CEO of Alberta Health Services, she had one responsibility: protect the interests of Alberta’s public health-care system.

According to her lawsuit, she raised concerns about multimillion-dollar contracts, questioned procurement practices, and pushed for investigations. Shortly afterward, she was removed from her position.

Instead of staying silent, she took her fight to court.

The Alberta government says she was fired because of performance issues and health-care restructuring. Mentzelopoulos says she was dismissed because she was asking difficult questions.

Albertans deserve answers.

If public money was spent properly, transparency should not be feared.

If concerns were raised by the CEO of Alberta’s largest health authority, those concerns deserve a full and independent examination.

History often remembers people who spoke up when it was easier to stay quiet.

Whether Athana Mentzelopoulos is ultimately proven right or wrong, one thing is certain: her allegations sparked investigations, public scrutiny, and a province-wide debate about accountability in health care.

Albertans should demand facts, transparency, and the truth, wherever it leads.

ALBERTA TODAY

SHOW US THE PROOF, MARLAINA.

The UCP is running ads claiming:

✅ 100,000 new jobs
✅ Highest wages in Canada
✅ Billions in investment flowing in from every direction
✅ Alberta is leading the nation

If everything is so great, then why are Albertans struggling with higher utility bills, rising insurance costs, healthcare shortages, overcrowded schools, and growing concerns about government spending?

If billions are flowing into Alberta, where is the transparency?

If 100,000 jobs were created, how many are full-time, permanent jobs and how many are temporary or part-time positions?

If Alberta is leading the nation, why is the government spending taxpayer dollars promoting separation instead of focusing on healthcare, education, affordability, and economic diversification?

And if Premier Danielle Smith is doing such an outstanding job, why is her government facing constant questions about ethics, political interference, and corruption allegations?

Albertans deserve more than expensive political advertisements. They deserve facts, evidence, and accountability.

Marlaina, don’t just tell Albertans how successful your government is. Show us the proof. Show us the numbers. Show us where the money went.

While Wab Kinew talks about loving Canada and protecting national unity, Danielle Smith keeps playing referendum politics to divide Canadians.

05/30/2026

Wab basically exposed the difference between leadership and political theatre in one sentence.

Alberta deserves jobs, healthcare, stability, and investment, not endless separatist cosplay.

05/30/2026

Is this really about Alberta’s future, or is it a political distraction from ongoing controversies, allegations, and questions about government accountability?

Families are worried about affordability. Communities need investment. Businesses want certainty. Instead, taxpayers are being dragged into a divisive separation debate that creates uncertainty and distracts from the issues affecting Albertans every day.

Leadership should focus on strengthening Alberta, creating jobs, improving services, and ensuring transparency, not fueling endless constitutional battles.

Albertans deserve answers. How many demands must be met before this separation campaign ends?

05/30/2026

Danielle Smith recently acknowledged that Prime Minister Mark Carney is working hard for Albertans and addressing most of the issues Alberta raised with the federal government.

So Albertans deserve an answer:

If the federal government is listening…

If progress is being made…

If your concerns are being addressed…

Then why are you still pushing Alberta toward separation?

Why spend public resources preparing for a divisive referendum instead of focusing on healthcare, affordability, public safety, and economic growth?

Many Albertans are asking whether this separation campaign is really about Alberta’s future or whether it is a political distraction from ongoing controversies, investigations, and questions facing the government.

You can’t praise Ottawa for working with Alberta one day and then promote breaking up the country the next.

Albertans deserve consistency, honesty, and leadership focused on results, not political games.

🇨🇦 One country. One economy. One future.

Alberta Today: Danielle Smith is becoming increasingly isolated on this issue. When premiers from other provinces are defending Canadian unity, why is Alberta’s government spending time and resources preparing for a separation referendum?

05/30/2026

Why are taxpayers paying for a political separation project when Alberta faces challenges in health care, education, housing, public safety, and affordability?

Every dollar spent on lawyers, court appeals, referendum administration, and political theatre is a dollar that cannot be spent on services Albertans rely on every day.

Danielle Smith says she supports Alberta remaining in Canada, yet her government is spending public resources to put a separation question on the ballot. Many Albertans are asking whether this is leadership or simply a costly political distraction.

Governing Requires Discipline

Alberta’s taxpayer-supported debt is projected to rise from $82 billion to $137 billion in just three years.

That’s a $55 billion increase.

At the same time, debt servicing costs are projected to nearly double to almost $5 billion annually — more than what government spends on most ministries combined.

This is no longer simply about the price of oil.

It’s about priorities, discipline, and the growing size and cost of government itself.

Over the last several years:

• spending increased roughly 30%
• bureaucracy expanded by roughly 30%
• government employment grew by more than 40,000 positions
• and Alberta swung into a massive deficit position

Meanwhile, this government broke its own fiscal rules - then adjusted the baseline afterward to claim compliance.

Fiscal responsibility cannot mean rewriting the rules every budget cycle.

Albertans expect government to be disciplined, transparent, and focused on long-term sustainability - not assuming ever-higher debt to pursue a misdirected political agenda.
