I’m going to be teaching some more knitting classes this December and January! The first one will be a class for absolute beginner knitters. Come on by to (a coupe min north of Fort Assiniboine) on Dec 3rd and knit yourself a cozy ear warmer. Full details in the pics.

Heyyyy! Hope you all had a great thanksgiving weekend! Long time no post 🤪So if you see this please give it a like to help the algorithm. Both Cindy and myself (Athena) have added to our family’s over the summer so we have been quite busy with our new littles 💕 BUT we do have a small stock of hats and headbands and you can find us at the County Mamas markets the next 2 weekends. The 19th we will be in Whitecourt at the Whitecourt Senior Circle from 10-3. Then on the 26th you will find us in Barrhead at the Elementary school gym from 10-3. Admission for both is a food bank Donation. I will be sharing throughout the next week or two about the stock we have left. And as always we do welcome custom orders off our website!

If you were to guess how well we are doing….would you guess we were 60% down in sales this month? Would you guess that I stay up until 3 am crunching numbers and worrying about if, and when, we will close our doors forever? Would you know I worry about my contributions to the household and my kids while my store struggles to pay the rent and I pull from my family’s finances? Maybe you would guess that, because many of us are in a similar position right now.
But I am shifting my energy starting today! I don’t want to think about myself this much, it’s exhausting. I’d rather have gratitude for all White Waller’s that have ever shopped, liked, shared, spread the word, or recommended me. They have helped me grow and create what the store has become for the past 5 years, and before that with all the classes and signs. If you know those days, then you have been with me for 10+ years! I know your families, I chat with you on the street. I know that you too are probably struggling, and so I don’t want to take from you, I want to give back to you, and to continue to support our business community.
So today I am gifting 10 people a free drink at Thyme to Grow - Natural Living. Laura has recently added a tea bar and has expanded her hours so that you can easily shop her beautiful store this spring. It is my hope that you look around while waiting for your drink - you never know if you will see something you like or can tell a friend about. And that’s it. First 10 people to mention the free drink today, will get one.
This is for me to say thank you to all of you, to recognize that you too may be struggling and to show compassion. And to support fellow Whitecourt businesses. That’s all.
And if you feel inclined to come see what we have for Easter or other occasions, we would forever be grateful. And if you can’t do that, share this post, engage with our social media, tell a friend, it's all appreciated. The more love we get, the more I can spread. 2024 is hard, so give what you can, and take what you need because it’s going to take all of us working together to keep our community going.
