September 30th is National Truth & Reconciliation Day and Orange Shirt Day. Order your shirt now and show your support (link in bio).
🧡
On this day we honour the lost children and survivors of residential schools, their families and their communities. The orange shirt is more than just clothing, it’s about standing in solidarity and support, as a community, to raise awareness, promote healing, and contribute to positive change.
🧡
Every Child Matters and, as Phyllis Webstad (the creator of Orange Shirt Day) once said, “The truth is not yet fully told.” This quote was the inspiration behind our orange shirt design and we wear it to recognize the countless number of children who didn’t make it home to their Moms and Dads; their Kokums and Mushums; their Aunties, Uncles and Cousins. We wear it to shine a light on the importance of all the work that is yet to be done.
🧡
Thank you for supporting our Orange Shirt Day Fundraiser and choosing to purchase our design. As a Métis-owned company, we humbly stand in solidarity with all of those trying to make an impact and are proud to support the organizations who work tirelessly to create change. Profits from the sales of these shirts will be donated to the Orange Shirt Society to continue to bring awareness of the individual, family and community inter-generational impacts of Indian Residential Schools.
