Some pieces are born from patience, precision, and a whole lot of love.

This Victorian-inspired velveteen dress was my most complex custom order to date, and honestly? I would do it all over again.

Deep burgundy velveteen. A dramatic layered bow collar. Pintuck hem detail. White ruffle hem peeping out like a little secret. Long puffed sleeves. Every single element had to be just right.

The client had a vision, and I had a commitment to honour it, stitch by stitch. There were revisions, there were late nights, and there were moments where I held this dress up and thought: this is exactly why I do this.

This is what handmade means at Young World. Not just pretty clothes, your child’s story, sewn into every seam. 🧵👑

Real front pockets. back pockets with that signature topstitch. Gold button. Elastic waist. Every single detail you would expect from a proper pair of jeans, just made for the littlest adventurers in your world.

We are still in the studio finishing these up and we are already a little obsessed.

Something golden is taking shape in the studio this week. ☀️

The Ka’Leigha top is almost ready, and she is every bit as sunny and sweet as she looks. Warm golden yellow, delicate floral stems dancing across the fabric, and a gathered waist that makes her feel like a little piece of summer.

She is part of something bigger too. The Ka’Leigha top will be pairing up with the Joshea leggings as part of our upcoming summer drop a set that is going to be equal parts effortless and adorable.

Nothing fills this little studio’s heart quite like this. 🩵

My favourite little model showing out in the Eira dress and honestly, she wore it better than we ever could have imagined. The pointed collar, the flutter sleeves, the soft blue floral print, and then there is her, bringing the whole thing to life with that personality. 😄

There is something really special about seeing the pieces that were made in this studio out in the world, being worn and loved.

She is our biggest fan and we are absolutely hers. 👋

The perfect fabric for a mockup. 🧵

We just got a custom order request that has us equal parts excited and on our toes — a Victorian Lo**ta style dress for a toddler. Ruffles, structure, all the drama. Absolutely gorgeous and unlike anything we have made before.

Before we cut into anything precious we are doing what any good maker does; we are making a mockup first. Testing every drafted feature, making sure the silhouette matches the inspiration, and getting it right before the real fabric ever sees the scissors.

And honestly? This sewing pattern print fabric feels like the most fitting choice for the job. 😄

This is the part of custom orders that nobody talks about, the problem solving, the drafting, the quiet determination to get it exactly right.
