I am participating in the Golden Horseshoe Ride for Dad 2024 with my riding group, the Oakville chapter of the Southern Cruisers. This is our major charity ride of the summer.

The ride is on Sunday, September 15th.

I attend a lot of motorcycle charity rides over the riding season. For most of them I just pay the registration fee and go on the ride. But the Ride for Dad is special to me. It raises money for awareness and research to fight prostate cancer. My dad died of prostate cancer years ago. I ride for him and everyone affected by this disease.

Since 2000, the Ride For Dad has raised more than 40 million dollars. All proceeds go to the Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation in support of prostate cancer research and awareness.
