She is the sole proprietor of Chavah Designs - being the one who designs, makes, packages + ships all of your garments and accessories. She has always been drawn to making and creating - her Mom (who funny enough, despised sewing) taught Chavah to sew when she was 7 & she hasn't stopped since! Chavah was more formally trained at New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in Frederict

on, New Brunswick and then continued on to Humber College in Toronto, Ontario. She now creates high quality custom garments from her studio in Saint John, New Brunswick.

One of my favourite things about Flex Passes?

Sometimes you’re the only one in the studio!

Just you, your ideas, and a fashion designer helping bring them to life.

Monday evening Mira and I drafted a custom sweater vest pattern, she learned to use the serger, and started turning an idea into a real garment.

These are the moments I love most about teaching !

3 out of 5 students finished their shorts during our one-day workshop.

A reminder that everyone works at their own pace… and that I have a hard time saying no to extra details. 😂

The goal is always to learn real sewing skills, not rush through a project. Sometimes that means adding pockets, tweaking designs, or making adjustments along the way when something doesn’t work exactly as planned.

Because that’s real sewing!

By the next day, all 5 students had finished their shorts and every pair was completely unique 💕

Not bad for a single day workshop! ☀️🩳✂️

Are we all thinking summer vibes?! ☀️🩷

Today we had two finished skirts, a beautiful hoodie with a palm tree-lined hood and ruffle hem, and a fully lined lilac zipper pouch come off the sewing machines!

I love seeing how different everyone’s projects are. Some students are making clothes they’ll wear all summer, while others are building skills one project at a time. Either way, they’re creating some pretty amazing things. ✂️✨

Nothing beats watching a project go from a pile of fabric to a dress you can actually wear 🤍

And if these are any indication, I can't wait to see what comes out of this summer's Flex Passes ☀️✨
