Let talk you rotation.... How to keep things fresh with your littles home all day.
Store some toys away and switch every few weeks.
Currently I am adding and taking away every few days as we spend SO many hours in the same playroom right now.
It doesn’t have to be hard. Split your cars/ trucks in 2 piles, same with blocks or building units.
Switch up your books, your dress up basket even where you place the toys.
Move that play kitchen to another wall and put the puzzles on a different shelf.

Kids love “new” things, even if they aren’t actually new.
We also brought up a few of the bigger basement toys for now and currently are using the slide as a hot wheel ramp mixed with our kinderfeet for a jump off....boy life I tell you!! 💕

We made it through Tuesday you guys🙌

A challenging day with Mr.2.5 today. He didn’t really want to play and he seemed a bit sad.

I’d say he is missing his friends and is getting bored with just mama at home.

Calming activities are a go to when things get a little “wild” so today we painted. I pulled out an egg cartoon and some sponges!

Bulldozing our way into week 2

Truth be told all the activities in the world aren’t filling the void of missing our playmates but we are trying our very best to stay very busy and not to structured.

Focusing on a lot of outdoor play, art, music, a million trucks and the unavoidable TV quiet moments!

A twist on our favourite set up;

A successful day in this house 🤸‍♂️!

A lot of outdoor play, some puddle jumping, bike riding and road hockey with a shovel 😆😆 (kids and their imaginations)

Water play is ALWAYS a huge hit in this house and yep you are going to have a little mess to clean up!

Simple rule I follow, if it takes me less then 5 minutes to clean, I am not going to worry about it💕

Today’s Water Play, Alphabet Wash!

❤️plastic alphabet letters (small ones from Walmart, large ones from dollarama)
🧡sponge or cloth
💙water and dish soap
💚sink or bins
💛drying station with a towel

Lots of fun! I tend to leave it set up for the day and usually a few rounds of play will take place.

Simple rainbow set up this morning with a focus on colour matching, lining up, hand eye coordination and space recognition!

Easy to do with your little ones all you need is paper, makers and a lot of something that has the same colours! 💜markers

💙counting bears
🧡or pom poms, glitter, beads, coloured squares 💛or anything you have of rainbow colours and lots of them

Draw a big rainbow set out your counters and let the magic happen!

Current situation in our house is a little Winnie The Pooh!

Sitting on the kitchen table for play...is todays set up!

Play dough!! I choose an ocean themed, with some little figurines, buttons, pipe cleaner and some other bits from the craft drawer.
Play dough is easy to make and you can really add anything you have laying around! ❤️cookie cutter

How did you “see” your day today?

Us...we played outside mostly, Ethan rod his bike and I walk. It was a strange day, not many people out and a weird vibe running through the air.

Started our day off making these fun binoculars, super simple and Ethan loved it, he made a second pair after dinner tonight and set them on the window ledge to use tomorrow!
