Registration is open for our immersive Textile Tour taking place in Jaipur, Rajasthan March 21-27, 2026. 🇮🇳 It is going to be quite an amazing 7 days experience! 3 days block printing workshop in Sanganer doing the deep dive into everything cloth and print, day trip to Bagru to learn all about mud resist dye techniques, sight seeing in colourful pink city Jaipur and simply enjoying Rajasthani culture. 5 participants. Most weekdays tasks or transactions seem to take priority. When I go for an early morning walk without my phone I enjoy some open unscripted time. Slowing down to appreciate the colours, sounds, space and moments unfolding with no goal. The soon to be Black Friday is a day I like to say ‘want what you have’ as it cuts through the overconsumption of online shopping. Taking the time to go into a local store doing business within your community goes a long way. Sit down without your phone, go for a walkabout with your phone, it’s such a powerful exercise in letting go. 💫

Living in Halifax is a simple life. Been here twenty years and so grateful. It was definitely not an easy city to settle into as I did not know many people. But once I relaxed and let go, it became home. Quiet moments with green spaces are many. Love the ocean and lakes being close by and all the trees. Recently, too many cars are creating traffic jams, and now learning to do errands only when necessary. Enjoy where you live. It is such a good reminder daily.

We will do a deep dive 3 day printing workshop; includes learning about block printing, natural dyes, indigo, block carving, you get to design and print your own fabric. Water fountains. Memories of my youth. I was so impressed with all the fountains in Victoria, BC. Located in parks, by public washrooms, near major pedestrian intersections and ballparks. I loved all the different designs too. Could local NS municipalities get water fountains back in our neighbourhoods? Makes SO much sense to have water fountains. Airports and public libraries have fountains but let’s vote for more water 💦 fountains scattered throughout our communities. Water is something we all need and it’s definitely not necessary to buy water in a plastic bottle in 2025! Let’s go modern day natural living 💦💦 fountain waste
