Why manufacturers make infant clothing without snaps at the bottom is beyond me.

As a mom of four, I vividly remember trying to change diapers while wrestling with outfits that weren't easy to take off and put back on. Even when baby is happy, diaper changes can be challenging enough!

That's why adding snaps to a onesie without a convenient bottom opening is such a simple solution. Match the snaps to the colour of the outfit, and voilà—problem solved!

Hemming is a big part of alterations. It seems like dresses and pants are always too long. I swear manufacturers make everything for people who are 6 feet tall.

Well that's just the opinion of a 5' 3" seamstress. 😆 Anybody else find this?

You can change the cuff on a dress shirt so that you can wear cuff links just by removing a button and adding a buttonhole.

Whether you have a double cuff for a true French cuff or are just wanting to wear cuff links, the change is an easy one.

Yay for pockets!!! Who doesn't love it when their dress has pockets.

Hidden pockets have been in women's clothing for centuries. They fell out of use in the late 1790's when more form fitting garments started to be worn and then returned again from the 1840-1920.

Pockets have come in and out of use depending on the garment ever since.

I personally love it when a dress has pockets. What about you?

Check out the gorgeous beaded applique top on this dress. The skirt had 4 layers of tulle and two layers of satin. Two layers of tulle were taken out and then all the layers were hemmed and the bustier was taken in at the back.

This dress is going to be remembered at prom for sure.

Just two days until the Binbrook Night Market. I unfortunately can no longer attend, but I do hope that everyone comes out and supports so many of the wonderful local businesses.

This Friday, May 22 from 6 - 8 pm.

I will be having the same specials available throughout the whole weekend as what I would have had at the market.

All hair accessories will be on sale 50% off, all boo boo bag sets will be BOGO and all pet accessories will also be 50% off.

I have some new therapeutic rice bags as well that are unfilled that are available.

One week today until this year’s Spring Night Market! May 22nd 6 - 8 pm.

Come check things out, do a little shopping, and enjoy the night air.

There is a great lineup of our community’s small businesses, plus a raffle basket featuring items from each vendor. Make a purchase to receive a raffle ticket! Vendors will be set up at two locations (2575 & 2567 Binbrook Road) so make sure to stop by both spots.
