Okay… I’m actually really excited about this.

I finally upgraded the hardware for my bags and I didn’t expect it to make this much of a difference.

It’s such a small detail, but when I held it up to one of my bags… it just felt more finished. More like what I’ve been trying to build all along.

I went with silver, gold, black, and bronze (obviously couldn’t pick just one 😅)

Now I’m sitting here deciding which ones go on which bags…

What would you choose?

These ones are coming together… but I already have a favourite 👀

I’ve got 6 cow bags in progress right now and each one is completely different.

Some are bold.
Some are a little more subtle.
And one of them… I might end up keeping 😅

Which one would you pick so far?

Some days I get hours in the studio…
and some days it’s 20 minutes here and there.

This one came together in the middle of real life —
work, kids, everything else that fills the day.

And honestly… those are the pieces I love the most.

Slow made. One of a kind.
Just the way Spruce Moose has always been 👜✨🌲

I’ve been pretty quiet on here lately…

Life just got busy. Work, family, everything all at once.
And honestly, I didn’t have it in me to push out content just to stay active.

So I didn’t.

Today was a reset day 🍁
Collecting sap, boiling it down, hanging out outside with the kids… and it felt really good.

This is the kind of stuff that fills my cup again.

I’m still sewing (slowly 😅), and I’ll start sharing more again… just not in a rushed or forced way.

If you’re still here, I really appreciate it 🤍

This one feels calm, intentional, and quietly beautiful 🤍

Made with soft corduroy, finished with antique brass details, and sewn slowly — one piece at a time — right here in Canada 🇨🇦

Designed to hold your everyday essentials without trying too hard.

If you love slow fashion, handmade details, and pieces that feel timeless instead of trendy… you’re in the right place 🌲

✨ Follow along for behind-the-scenes sewing and one-of-a-kind drops

Cow print out front because subtle was never the plan.
Upcycled denim everywhere else because materials with a past just hit different.

This one came together slowly — denim rescued, textures balanced, and a western-inspired interior that feels just right when you open it. It’s bold, a little rugged, and completely one of a kind.

If you love bags that don’t look like everyone else’s… you’re in the right place 🤍

I was challenged to share a photo of my studio.

Which since its my personal space- not the most comfortable thing to do. I feel like ill get judged for it not being perfect- but to be honest- its never perfect- i think it was when i first set it up for about a week. There are actually two machines in this room but im not a great photographer- so i dont know how to get both in the shot 😆
This is one area-my studio actually has two, - likely much to my husbands dismay 🫣😁- theres also a room beside this one where there is another two sewing machines and the laser,
and , this is my favourite room in the house.
It’s where I sew, cut fabric, make a mess, clean it up, rethink things, and sometimes just sit and stare at a project until it makes sense.
It’s not fancy or styled — it’s just a space that actually gets used.

Every bag I make starts here, one at a time.
Slow, small-scale, and very real.

Remember that messy pile of fabric I shared?

This little chicken pouch was one of those “I’ll finish it later” projects.

Same pattern as my last bag.
Different fabric.
Very different energy.

One down. The pile is slowly shrinking — I’ll keep working through it.

Should I keep sharing what comes out of the pile?

Every maker has this pile. At least- i think you do!

Projects that were cut with intention… then paused.
Waiting on the right hardware.
Waiting on a fabric that felt more “right.”
Waiting because a custom order took priority.

January and February are my reset months.
I clean up, plan what’s next, reorder supplies, and decide what gets finished, what gets donated, and what becomes an act of kindness.

I dont like waste, so maybe its time to tackle a few of the possibilities that are buried in this aweful pile.

If you’re a maker, you get it.
If you’re not, welcome to the behind-the-scenes of handmade.

Made something a little different today ✨

Small bag, Star Wars twist.

I’m a few people away from 1K and feeling grateful for this little corner of handmade.

If you love seeing unique, one-of-a-kind bags (and the occasional nerdy fabric), you’re in the right place 🤍
