I made my first ribbon skirt just in time for the Siya Celebration last friday!

I want to update and modernize the ribbon skirt to skim the line of body and not billow out. I used the top of a yoga waist to fit closer to the body. And still have free range of motion to dance or walk. Call taking orders 3 weeks in advance!

I've incorporated the WFN colors, bear paws, beading for okanagan sunflower, turquoise and blues to represent water, one of our healing medicines.

I made a newborn ribbon skirt for a friends baby last night just in time for an event today. We're debuting this ribbon skirt for our community's annual Siya powwow. This has been my favorite sewing project yet! Ariah looks so cute in it!!
