As a vegan re-seller, the dilemma regarding passing along clothing made from the use of animal products is ever present. How do I honour those animals who have paid the ultimate sacrifice? It's not often that I purchase & pass along leather, fur, or wool items anymore. When I do, it must be so well made & truly vintage that by reselling it, that animal's life continues to live on in another dimension. This hint of mauve winter coat is such an item. (By Norma, Canada) And to help balance the sacrifice, a few times a year I donate a portion of my sales to our local animal shelter, the Kingston Humane Society. Personally & for Reeboot Vintage, I seek out designers like Stella McCartney; a long time vegan herself like her father Paul, Stella uses plant based materials to imitate the look of leather & feathers, sans cruelty.

We're so looking forward to hearing this compassionate humanitarian & lifelong activist speak tonight in Ottawa. She is an inspiration to us all. And despite living in a world where there is still so much cruelty, poverty & hardship, Jane has hope. Before the event, we'll be dining at Pure Kitchen, a fabulous restaurant that offers so many plant based and cruelty free meals. Who knows? Maybe we'll meet Ms Goodall there?
