Last week, Arthur Morel from MOREL Eyewear came to visit us all the way from France!🇫🇷
Arthur is 5th generation in the Morel family, and I can tell, the passion for eyewear defintely runs through the family.

It was an absolute honour to have him at the shop. We chatted about the future of Morel, the next collaborations, why we love having Morel Eyewear at the store, and how we can grow together. I can tell you now, the future with Morel looks promising.

When I asked him what he admires most about the collaboration pieces, he had the perfect answer:
"I love when we collaborate with other artist because they do not consider the limitations of eyewear. They design a frame that reflects their signature art style, and we make it happen."

They are incredible pieces, we've actually sold through every collaboration piece with Jean Nouvel and Constance Guisset.

Thank you for visiting Eyedentity, and we defintely will sit and have a glass of champagne together at Silmo this year!

Story: As she walked from her car to the breakfest restaurant, she curiously looked through the window display at the optical shop immediately stopped. Something caught her eye. She saw this CHROMA 13 frame on one of the flower heads in the window display and she knew they HAD to be hers.
She walked in, asked to try the ONE pair on, and instantly knew they were made for her. A giant smile appeared on her face as she looked in the mirror.
Perfect fit, perfect colour, perfect shape!
"I'll take it!"

My notes: Such a funky shape with a bold colour. I especially love that contrasting colour at the temple. The white frame already pops, but with that yellow/brown temple...AMAZING!

DID YOU KNOW...

I have been working as a contact lens tech for the film industry since 2020? 🎬🎞

I mostly work on horror and sci-fi doing the abnormal eyes you would see on the characters. You know, like the alien eyes on Star Trek?👽

Since The Boys and Gen V both finished recently, I've been reminiscing about my experience working on both shows and how challenging and exciting it was. I learned so much and learned to appriciate the craftmanship of every department. I loved working on set, especially when you have the best actors/actresses to work with.

Obviously, the past 3.5 years my full time job has been Eyedentity, but I still come work a day or two here and there. When do I have the time and energy? I have no idea.

When your rep shows you new product 😍

One of my favourite things about optical is shopping for new product and hearing about the latest and greatest designs. I first saw Glossi at a trade show, and I loved it right away. I didn't have anything like it. Took me about a year before I had room for it, but it was worth the wait!
Glossi was a new brand for Eyedentity in early 2025 and has been one of your favourite brands in the store by you all.

Guessing frames blindfolded!
A friend picked 5 frames in the store to see if I knew my inventory well.
She had no idea she picked 2 of FROST and 2 of LOEWE.
4 out of 5 isnt too bad.

I cannot get over how great he looks all his new glasses, but this one was defintely was my favourite. Coming from a clubmaster style frame into a double bridge two tone .

The main reason we got into a Blackfin was because we wanted something lightweight in weight, but we found a few that took his eyewear game up a notch.
