Meet Christine 👋🏼 - BackRoads KW Store Manager!

If you’ve ran or shopped with us already, chances are you’ve seen Christine out with the crew, helping behind the bar, or providing expert advice on shoes & gear!

We wanted to formally introduce Christine to our community, and announce that she’ll be leading a Beginner Social Run group! This crew will meet at 6pm on Thursdays, and will embrace a “no drop” format, meaning no one gets left behind!

🏁🏃‍♂️ The event we’ve been doing from the start in London has officially made its way to Kitchener.

Our inaugural 800M Night in KW was everything we hoped it would be. Your 800m time = the price of your drink. It’s become a fan favourite for a reason. 🍺

Sharing this event with our new friends in KW brought the exact same energy we’ve come to love. Fast times, cold beers, incredible tacos from 🌮 // an all-around fun night with good people and a little friendly competition.

That’s what these nights are all about. Building community, connecting through running, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome.

Thanks to everyone who came out and helped make our first KW 800M Night one to remember. 🍺🏃‍♀️🌮🎉

Thursday nights are for getting social!

A couple of weeks ago, we had the crew roll through on their Gravel Tour making it a night to remember.

captured the energy perfectly, showcasing what makes our Thursday social runs special 🧡

Haven’t joined us on a Thursday yet? Here’s the rundown:

At 6pm we take to the streets as a group for a 5km run, finishing at the BackRoads Taproom for après run hangouts, beverages and good times. There’s a wide variety of paces and experience levels, so everyone is welcome regardless of where you are in your running journey.

This week we’ve got extra excitement for our social run as we’re hosting our first KW 800 Meter night, where you have the chance to run for the price of your beverage!

800m Night presented by HOKA is coming to BackRoads Kitchener on Thursday, June 11th!

A longtime favourite in the London running community, we’re excited to bring this unique experience to KW for the first time.

Here’s how it works:
👟lace up the latest HOKA shoes�🏃 Group run leaves at 6:00pm, �⏱ Head to a local track for 800m heats�🍻 Your 800m time determines the cost of your first beer or beverage back at the taproom!

Whether you’re chasing a fast time or just looking for a fun night with the running community, everyone is welcome.

We’ll also have:�🥤 Red Bull providing pre- and post-run samples�🌮 Los Rolling Tacos serving food after the run�🎉 Great vibes back at the taproom to finish off the night

Registration is free, but we’d appreciate you signing up so we can plan accordingly.

🔥 Tuesdays @ 6PM // Drop-in workouts with (hills, intervals, tempo sessions and more)
👟 Thursdays @ 6PM // Social Run featuring a 5K route with an optional 8K add-on
🛣️ Saturdays @ 9AM // Long Run with a provided route of 10K+

Free to join. All paces welcome. Come train, connect, and explore the roads with us. See you out there! 🍻

Global Running Day 🌍🏃‍➡️

When we first started planning our Global Run Day celebration with Conestoga and , we had no idea that the awesome crew already hosted an annual community run that brings together run clubs from across the Tri-Cities!

As newcomers to this incredible running community, we absolutely LOVE this idea, and we’re so grateful for the invite to be part of it 🙏

So instead of hosting our own separate run, we’re packing up shop and heading to Uptown Waterloo Square to celebrate alongside everyone. 🧡

There’s something really special about a community coming together through movement, sweat, connection, and a shared love of running, and we can’t wait to experience it with all of you!
