We've collected 21 sweaters so far. Most were knit by my Yvonne friends. Yvonne Aldridge and Yvonne Whitaker. There's a drop off in Calgary if you can't get them to me in Lethbridge. Our sew day for Stitch It Forward Society of Lethbridge is November 14th 9am-1pm. LDS North church 2313 6A Ave North, Lethbridge. Any homemade clothes, pjs/nightgowns, panties (I'm going to make bloomer type panties that are basically short shorts), quilts with pillows, knit sweaters and slippers can be dropped off during that time. You are invited to stay and cut, sew, knit, whatever your talent is. We're also hoping for 50 doll beds that are large enough to fit 18" dolls. We have 50 naked 18" dolls to dress for distribution within the community.

I walked over 2km around Castle Falls yesterday. Afterwards I stopped into Dragon Heart Quilt shop (Pincher Creek AB). If you've never been to Castle falls or Dragon Heart, put them on your bucket list. Also great Chinese food in Pincher.

Anyone have nothing to do this week? This pattern was supposed to be an easy recolouring, but I changed it so much that it really should be tested before the fabric ships to stores (in Nov). If you could get the top (or at least all the blocks done) this week, let me know. In the pattern you cut up a panel for the larger, shadowed rectangle pictures. You could use photos or a large print, or panels that are good to cut up. There's a bed runner 29" x 72" (also good as a wall quilt, or a runner for a large table), a Large Throw/Twin 72" x 89" and a Large Queen 89" x 106". Pattern is called Photo Album. It's also great for using photos printed on fabric, like this one the Kaye Loustel and Barb Stoffold made (so beautiful!). The other images are what I am rewriting the pattern using (Hoffman's "Trout About" fabric. For those of you that are in Calgary, Along Came Quilting will be getting the panel)

I'm looking for two more pattern names. The first is a very simple design. A panel with simple borders and an outer mitered border. The second is a is a fun design with stars and trees in a wide pieced border. Outer border is also mitered. I can't show the actual Henry Glass fabrics in the quilts yet. I will show them as soon as I can. Adorable fabric designed by Mary Jane Cary for Henry Glass & Co. Of course, if I select the name you suggest, you will receive a free pattern as soon as I have it written.

I can make three of these kits. Precut, even the binding is precut, sewn and pressed in half. This will be the quickest runner you have ever made! Finishes at approximately 40" long x 18" wide. Kit includes precut pieces, binding ready to attach, backing and pattern "Sew Fast Runner". Shipping is included. I have to add tax. $25. Pattern only is $5.
