What started with Jo-Ann building a business became something much bigger than she ever intended. A foundation of confidence, resilience, independence, and purpose that carried far beyond the walls of the store.
This Mother’s Day, we’ve been reflecting on the entrepreneurial thread woven through our family. The lessons passed down, the examples set quietly through action, and the women who build far more than they often realize.
Not just businesses, but confidence, character, and the belief that anything is possible.
Over time, those lessons showed up again in different ways. In daughters following familiar paths, creating entirely new ones, or carrying those values into their own lives and careers.
And while these reflections are personal to our family, we know we are far from alone. There are so many women quietly creating pathways, setting examples, and shaping future generations through the way they show up every day.
