I really have to thank for giving me the opportunity to make such a meaningful piece. These are the piano keys that her grandmother, mother, herself and her children all learned to play piano on. After the sound board broke she kept the keys and a few other pieces of the piano with an idea to create or have something created with them and I’m very stoked that I got to bring that idea to life for her.

Piano keys mounted to birch ply with a background of sheet music surrounded with a Sapele frame and piano name inlay.

Took my truck for an oil change yesterday and hit a parking lot while I waited. This is my second time skating since last June and I’m a little stiff today but I think I’m feeling inspired and I have it in my head I can film 45 tricks before I turn 45 next winter. Here’s the first 4. 41 to go.

A customer brought me this piece of walnut to make this rad cutting board. I routered a groove around the bottom edge to straddle the sink and splined the ends to prevent any splitting. Mineral oil finish.
