☀️ Some days, the shop feels a little extra magical.

Today, I had the pleasure of meeting Evelyn and Edna, two wonderful sisters from Newfoundland. What a pair! Full of laughter, full of stories, and with those beautiful East Coast accents that had us all smiling. 💙

There was a hat-trying-on adventure, plenty of giggles, and in the end, one special hat found its forever home. Before they headed off to enjoy the sunshine, we snapped a photo , and they kindly said I could share it.

Moments like these remind me that Mosaic is about so much more than shopping.

So here’s a little shout-out to Evelyn and Edna, the girls from Newfoundland. Thank you for bringing so much joy into the shop today and for making an already beautiful sunny day even brighter.

And to all of my amazing customers, near and far, thank you for making this little corner of Lunenburg such a happy place. We can’t wait to welcome you through the door. ⚓️❤️

Good morning, everyone.

Being born and raised in Lunenburg, community has always been a huge part of my life. Over the years, I’ve been involved in many different areas of customer service, community organizations, and local events , but one of the biggest parts of my life has always been dory rowing on the waterfront.

Rowing has taught me so much about teamwork, tradition, resilience, and showing up for your community, your province, and your country! Those are the same values I hope people feel when they walk into Mosaic Treasures.

Whether it’s a cozy Irish sweater, a beautiful local piece, or just a friendly chat, I want Mosaic to feel warm, welcoming, and genuinely local , a place full of things you’ll truly love and use.

I’m so grateful for all of the support already.

It's been a very busy few days, and I'm slack on my updates! This spring has brought me two new retail outlets that will carry my work. Close to home in St Andrews I can now be found at The White Raven Boutique, located in the former Serendipin shop on Water St. And I must say, the store space has been spectacularly transformed! A little further afield I'm thrilled to say my work can be found at Mosaic Treasures in the lovely Lunenburg, NS. It's been a while since I've sold in NS, and Lunenburg is an entirely new town for me. So all in all it has been a busy month! Be sure to check out these shops if you are in their area, you won't be disappointed!

These mobiles, and a few more, along with some fish pieces are on their way to the Mosaic Treasures shop in Lunenburg.

They are located in the heart of the town, at 118 Montague Street, phone 902 634 8453. They are now open daily, Monday through Saturday from 10:30 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 5.

Kelly George is the new owner of this wonderful shop that is filled with craftsmanship, comfort and meaningful treasures!

✨ A New Chapter at Mosaic ✨

Hello everyone,

My name is Kelly George, and I am incredibly proud and grateful to introduce myself as the new owner of Mosaic Treasures of the World here in beautiful Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.

For many years, Mosaic has been a special part of our community, a place filled with warmth, conversation, craftsmanship, comfort, and meaningful treasures. As someone who has worked in customer service and community-focused roles for most of my life, stepping into this next chapter feels both exciting and deeply personal.

Lunenburg has always been home to me. Community, connection, and supporting local have always mattered greatly in my life, and I’m honoured to continue the legacy of a store that so many people have loved over the years.

At Mosaic, you’ll continue to find many of the things that make the shop so special:
• Natural fibre clothing and cozy wool products
• Irish sweaters, quality socks, hats, and comfort footwear
• Beautiful artisan-made gifts
• Maritime artwork, pottery, jewellery, and locally made products

As we move forward, my hope is to continue growing Mosaic while keeping the welcoming feeling that people have always appreciated when they walk through the door.
