Coming soon…my first grandchild, a granddaughter, and Baby’s First Blanket, an heirloom crochet project I first designed for a follow-up book to “Twelve Month’s of Knitting “ but the publishing world hit some turmoil with the online reading boom and “Nine Months of Knitting” wasn’t to be.
My knit design career also took a curveball when a right forefinger surgery went wrong- yes, I’m a right- handed knitter. All this to say, NOTHING is going to keep me from creating knits and crochet and maybe even sewing for my baby grandgirl, coming soon and due today!!!!!!!! Or will she arrive on Valentine’s Day?

When a nasty once-in-a-decade snowstorm hits, you dig out that long unfinished project (however small it be) and knit. socks, finally! Note, I had surgery on my forefinger a few years ago which deformed it. It’s taken me awhile to get back into knitting so this was a great small project. It’s design from their “Pull Up Your Socks!” booklet, the cover shot, but I added the fushia toes. Grey marl yarn is and for the toes.
Now to the bigger in-the-works sweater I’d already started.

Back to knitting after a finger surgery left me deformed, Covid, and a busy year of renos. My BFF want to learn how to knit a sweater. We met for my BD lunch in Orangeville and bought Wish from - Linda used to be my lys in PC so I loved seeing her at her new beautiful shop and her sweet 🐕 Summer. So now to knitting and reading in a sunny corner of the new den. I have a feeling I’ll wear out the sofa cushion here.
