*** Transparent and long post ***
As I reflect on how far I’ve come and what has been accomplished in almost 2 years in business, I cannot help to be happy and sad at the same time. Happy because I got to create beautiful collections, helping plus size woman feel and look amazing and spread the word about Elexio’s mission.
BUT
I’m also sad, because although I absolutely love doing what I do, it is not easy at all. At times I wanted to give it all up, at times I was asking myself did I do the right thing and if it was all worth it.
Let me tell you, going in business is NOT for the weak; I repeat…. It… is… not! And sometimes we, as business owners, need to realize that we are human beings also and we are living life and going through it as well.
All this to say that we sometimes want to go above and beyond, do things out of our way to make sure we follow trends and such but at the end of the day; there is beauty in being authentic! Beauty in being you and doing you! How ever you choose to do so. And that’s what I’ve decided to do: doing what I can with what I got (in Mariah Carey’s voice 😛)
Finally (I told you it was transparent and long lol) who knows what the future holds for Elexio. Maybe it will last and maybe it won’t. But one thing is for sure, I loved every second of it and I hold memories that’ll cherish forever!
