'for an unscripted future'
Firstly, always start from knowing that YOU ARE ENOUGI+
These looks play with the idea of self exploration and self acceptance through a mix of the La Rage collections. The cut and sewn pieces are made from cotton, and the rest of the collection is made from upcycled cotton and denim pieces. The shoot is weaved together by an obsession with drip, a sense of playfulness, an assortment of street wear, Nigerian-inspired patterns and hand painted garments.
The use of cotton fabrics shows the natural development from the release of the first La Rage collection in Summer 2021. Each order for that collection came with artisanal paper which Louis Obukohwo made from cotton rags at the Saint Armand Papeterie in Montreal.
The looks amplify the excitement and freedom around exploring new ways of existing on earth as people. It expresses the emotions, excitement, judgement and energy around the threshold of an unknown future for unknown dimensions of our infinite beings in a labyrinth of evolving social orders, while exploring various dimensions of quantum collapses that could become future moments.
It experiments with ideas that try to expound on human evolution, and the true meaning of experiencing relatively early stages of space and time in the universe/multiverse.
