In a wee little basement in the home of Christina Marcano. Christina started in the clothing business over ten years ago when she co-founded an active wear company called Skyler Clothing. Skyler grew quickly and by 2008 they had three stores over two-hundred wholesale accounts and regular appearances on the Shopping Channel and then…the recession hit. The company started to spiral out of control a

nd as a last ditch effort Christina went to pitch her case on CBC’s the Dragons Den. The response was phenomenal. She received an outpouring of support but after a bit of soul searching she realized Skyler wasn’t her true dream. She closed Skyler down and headed back to her basement where she got to work building her true dream - Silver Icing. An amazing brand that offers comfy chic clothing that won’t break the bank. In 2013 Silver Icing launched and is now a thriving online shop with a network of independent stylists. As a young mom, Christina knew how important a work life balance is. She was tired of driving 2 hours a day back and forth from work. She loved being able to make her kids lunch or take them to a park on a sunny afternoon. Being a stay at home working mom was exactly what her family needed and it is from this experience that she committed to building a company that other moms and women could be a part of. Her greater vision is to provide women with the option to balance life and work by having the opportunity to work from home during hours that don’t disrupt the family lifestyle. Becoming an Online Styilst does just that. It is the best of both worlds, everything is online so you can commit as much or as little as you like. You can work when the kids go to bed or nap during the day. Everything can be done online, including pop up shops, so there is no need to sacrifice evenings or weekends to host parties. Allison's Polar Express Coat Review: Holy moly, I need this coat!! It is cozy and warm and I love this large hood with detachable faux fur trim! There is both snap and zip closure, and the sleeves have a nice fitted cuff to keep the cold away! There are two pockets that close with a snap, and also 3 snaps on each side to give a bit of extra room as well! I am wearing an XXL which is my preferred size for coats! It is the perfect fit to layer with a heavier sweater as well!

Christine’s Polar Express Coat Review: Everyone is always looking for the perfect coat for winter, and we’ve found it! This coat is not only warm and comfortable, but the snap detailing and the faux fur hood create that “snow bunny meets adventurer” vibe, with the bonus of affordability! Look cute and stay warm. I am in the size small and it’s a great fit, however, I would likely size up just to have extra room for layering.

Allison's A Walk In the Snow Boots Review: These are the perfect winter boot for me! They are waterproof and cold rated for -24°C/-11°F!! They have a faux fur trim and the interior is a super soft lining, these will definitely keep your feet warm! They have a lace front that opens quite wide, it's perfect for tucking your jeans into so they wont get snowy! I am wearing a size 8 and it's the size I will purchase!

Christine’s A Walk In the Snow Boots Review: COMFORTABLE! The end. But seriously though, when is the last time you found a pair of snow boots that are comfortable AND stylish? These boots are the perfect mix of style & function! They are not only waterproof, meaning they will stand up to the elements, but your toes will stay warm in up to -11° weather! I love that the boots tie-up, allowing them to be versatile and inclusive for everybody! I am in the size 8 and they are a perfect fit.

Crystal's Polar Express Coat Review: I was most excited to receive this coat for the Fall Fashion show because I was also with the buying team in Montreal last year when we picked it out! Meet the elevated version of the Central Parka! Remember that amazing jacket that had such a great price point?! Let me tell you about all the amazing features of this coat:

• quilted panels

• gorgeous colours

• side snap pockets

• a glorious hood with soft fur (the fur can be zipped off, which makes washing the coat super easy)

• It’s fully lined and will keep you warm

• toggles on the inside that you can cinch in so that it’s more tapered at the waist on the outside

• zipper and snap main closure

• my favourite part is the 3 snaps on each side at the bottom of the coat so that when you sit down (if you’re driving for example) you can unsnap them to give you more room in the hips and legs

I’m wearing the size medium which is typical for me in jackets. I’m usually between a size small and medium in tops. I’d say if you’re in between sizes you could size up to give yourself a bit more room. Plus, you have the inside waist cinchers to use as well if you choose.

Kim's Good Moms Tee Review: I might not be a mom, but I definitely say bad words! This tee is exceptional!!!!! It's the same material as Tired as a Mother so you know you're going to love it! It's suuuper soft, lightweight and really stretchy! The fit is perfect as well. I am in the small here and they fit nice and comfortably!

Kim's Sunshine On My Mind Espadrilles (Black) Review: I'll start off by saying the only difference between the 2 sandals is the material. These black ones have a micro faux suede feel to the top and the beige ones are a soft, burlap/canvas-like material. They are incredibly comfortable, like seriously! I love the added height and the all-around look of these. I am wearing my true size 8 and they fit perfectly! They will definitely work for a wide foot too.

Lyvia's Tired as a Mother Tee Review: Oh you guys, I am so excited to get this tee! I'm a mom myself so this totally speaks to me! The material of this shirt is my favourite part. It's Vanilla Bay which means comfort and the perfect fit; so soft, so stretchy, so perfect. I am wearing my true size small and love the fit.

Lyvia's Long Live the Weekend Capris Review: These are the perfect denim capris! True denim, slight stretch in the most beautiful wash. I typically wear a size 5 but prefer the fit of the 7 in these. They can be cuffed or uncuffed which allows you to switch up how they look! I love the minor distressing, super cute for spring/summer wear!

I love that you can undo the cuff so you can customize the length a bit! I am wearing the size 15 and I love the fit! I'm wearing the Breezy Street Top with this look.

Allison's Hello Sunshine Espadrilles (Beige) Review: I have been not-so-patiently waiting for these sandals as soon I tried them on! I love the espadrille style with the bit of a platform! They are incredibly comfortable, I don't want to take them off! I am wearing an 8 and plan to get my regular 7.5, they are true to size! To be clear, the only difference between these and the black sandals is the material of the top part. These are more of a burlap/canvas-like material!
