Now the details on this stunning gown...A vintage dress re-design! Olivia found a stunning dress to wear for her dress rehearsal that fit long and big, with no support. She had a vision and I sewed some magic to create this truly one of a kind tea length, corseted gown. I'll promise to share more photos soon but this dress needed a spot on my main feed! Thanks so much, Olivia, congratulations 🥂

I am back from my little vacation and am excited to be back behind my sewing machines tomorrow! I will be very, very busy for the next few weeks, so please plan ahead for any alterations needed in September and early October.
✨ I am currently booking formal wear alterations for September events & bridal alterations are available for weddings in October or later. I cannot accept any new casual wear alterations for the next couple of weeks, but you can pre-book for a fitting for the end of the month. I am almost done with my busy season & then I'll be back to my usual turn around times, thank you for your patience!! ❤️

Now to talk about another amazing wedding dress transformation!
This stunning floral wedding dress started with small spaghetti straps which didn't match the brides vision, and let's be honest - were a little uncomfortable, and the dress fit long and was big in the bodice. The alterations included changing the straps to a wider more supportive strap, using cuttings from the hem, and creating custom flowy sleeves. The bodice was taken in at center back, chest was taken in, and a hem. A 3 point bustle was added for party time. Such a great dress and one of my favorite sleeves I have created this year! 🪡

One week left & then I am away for a little staycation, visiting my sister, but away for my sewing machines 🥳

I will be away between August 2nd - 11th so if you're needing any non-bridal formal wear alterations for events at the end of August, please book in to see me this week. Fitting times are available Wednesday - Saturday. I will still be very busy when I get back so please try to book in advance for any alterations needed for the end of summer or beginning of fall. I appreciate you all for keeping me so busy. It's been the best year ever!! ❤️❤️

I still have soooo many beautiful bridal dresses to show off (maybe I'll get to posting some on my week off 🤞) but I wanted to show off another stunning prom dress that I had the opportunity to alter in the spring. This show stopping pink dress needed a bit of work for the perfect fit. The alterations included taking in center back, added new straps for extra support, chest taken in, and a front hem. Such a great dress!!! The prom dresses this year were so so cool, can't wait to see what comes in for 2027!

Thank you Vancouver Island for making this my busiest summer yet! I am currently accepting fittings for any non-bridal formal wear alterations for events in mid-August or later. Casual wear alteration bookings will open at the end of the month, thank you for your patience!

Showing off this STUNNING Canadian made wedding dress Oli brought in for her spring time wedding. Truvelle is truly one of my favorite wedding dress designers, making dresses in Vancouver! The alterations on this dress included changing the straps from a spaghetti strap to a wide, crossed back, strap which delightfully comes to a bow at center back. Extra support for the chest and a stunning look. The dress also needed a hem and a French bustle was added for party time. She had this amazing cape which really finished off the look - I had no part on this but it was soooooo marvelous of a look it needed a space on my timeline!

It's officially too hot to sew in the late afternoon so I thought I'd share another amazing prom dress I had the opportunity to alter this spring. This jaw dropping dress fit a little snug and was long. The alterations included switching out the zipper back to a corset back (waist up), creating the loops from the hem cuttings. I also added a modesty panel and a hem. I saw such stunning prom dresses this season - thank you mid-island prom goers!! I have the best job ever!

Just a friendly reminder that I am booking 4 weeks in advance for all non-bridal formal wear alterations this summer. This is the last week to book in if you are needing a dress or suit altered by the end of July or early August. Please plan ahead!

Showing off this stunning wedding dress that went through a huge transformation for her spring time Mexico wedding! The alterations included changing center back from a zip up to a corset, taking in the bodice, removing a lining layer, adding a slit to the remaining lining layer and a hem and bustle. What a great dress!!!

2027 brides - please do not wait to start dress shopping and planning your alterations!! Consults for any 2027 brides will begin in the fall for anyone wanting to come meet me first, I know this is a big deal 🫶 I can't wait to sew for you!

Phew, busy spring season is really cutting into my posting pretty dresses time 😅 I know I say this all the time but I am blown away by the support this year!! Thank you to everyone who has booked in early for their appointments this spring & summer! Y'all rock 🪡

Showing off Keighley amazing wedding dress that went through an dramatic transformation to create the perfect gown for her! 😍
The alterations included changing the lining layers from a dark n**e to a beautiful blush colour, taking in the bodice, a hem & bustle. Lastly, I created custom made straps, yes it took a couple of hours cutting the leaves from the hem cuttings but it was totally worth it!!! This was such a fun transformation and I appreciate Keighley's trust throughout the processes!! Congratulations again! 🥂

I finished the last of my prom dress alterations today - always a bittersweet moment. Thank you to all the prom goers who planned ahead and came to see me for alterations this year. Such great dresses!!!
I wanted to show off this stunning vintage dress I had the opportunity to breathe new life into. The alterations included removing ruffles, reboning the bodice, taking in the chest, and adding a crinoline layer for more p**f. This was such a stunning gown & I had the opportunity to work on it before the rush so I got some great photos on the mannequin - you're welcome 😅 So happy to have the opportunity to work on so many gorgeous vintage pieces this year!!! Now to focus on the bridal alterations!

A friendly reminder that if you're getting married in September or October - now is the time to pre-book your first fittings!

I wanted to take the time to thank everyone who booked in early to come see me for alterations this year. 🫶 This is the fastest I've ever booked up for the season and I feel so fortunate!!! This is your reminder that if you're are getting married in the fall or next year - please reach out early to your favorite vendors to secure your spot! Currently booking for weddings happening September or later for bridal alterations.

Sheepishly still posting brides from last summer because I forgot to post some! Saphire came in with this stunning lace dress for her European wedding - the alterations included a hem, shortening the straps, and other minor bodice adjustments. This dress was soooo gorgeous, top to bottom, and needed a placed on my main feed. Thanks again, Saphire! 🥂

✨ Please note I do have some spring/summer availability for bridesmaids, groomsmen and other wedding guests suit and dress alterations but these appointments do need to be booked at least 3 weeks before the event. Better to book sooner rather than later - you'll thank me in the summer 😉
