Showing off this stunning wedding dress that went through a huge transformation for her spring time Mexico wedding! The alterations included changing center back from a zip up to a corset, taking in the bodice, removing a lining layer, adding a slit to the remaining lining layer and a hem and bustle. What a great dress!!!

2027 brides - please do not wait to start dress shopping and planning your alterations!! Consults for any 2027 brides will begin in the fall for anyone wanting to come meet me first, I know this is a big deal 🫶 I can't wait to sew for you!

Phew, busy spring season is really cutting into my posting pretty dresses time 😅 I know I say this all the time but I am blown away by the support this year!! Thank you to everyone who has booked in early for their appointments this spring & summer! Y'all rock 🪡

Showing off Keighley amazing wedding dress that went through an dramatic transformation to create the perfect gown for her! 😍
The alterations included changing the lining layers from a dark n**e to a beautiful blush colour, taking in the bodice, a hem & bustle. Lastly, I created custom made straps, yes it took a couple of hours cutting the leaves from the hem cuttings but it was totally worth it!!! This was such a fun transformation and I appreciate Keighley's trust throughout the processes!! Congratulations again! 🥂

I finished the last of my prom dress alterations today - always a bittersweet moment. Thank you to all the prom goers who planned ahead and came to see me for alterations this year. Such great dresses!!!
I wanted to show off this stunning vintage dress I had the opportunity to breathe new life into. The alterations included removing ruffles, reboning the bodice, taking in the chest, and adding a crinoline layer for more p**f. This was such a stunning gown & I had the opportunity to work on it before the rush so I got some great photos on the mannequin - you're welcome 😅 So happy to have the opportunity to work on so many gorgeous vintage pieces this year!!! Now to focus on the bridal alterations!

A friendly reminder that if you're getting married in September or October - now is the time to pre-book your first fittings!

I still have room for some formal wear alterations for summer events but please book those appointments as soon as possible, spots are limited. Online booking is always available. Currently booking for events happening late June or later 🪡

I wanted to take the time to thank everyone who booked in early to come see me for alterations this year. 🫶 This is the fastest I've ever booked up for the season and I feel so fortunate!!! This is your reminder that if you're are getting married in the fall or next year - please reach out early to your favorite vendors to secure your spot! Currently booking for weddings happening September or later for bridal alterations.

Sheepishly still posting brides from last summer because I forgot to post some! Saphire came in with this stunning lace dress for her European wedding - the alterations included a hem, shortening the straps, and other minor bodice adjustments. This dress was soooo gorgeous, top to bottom, and needed a placed on my main feed. Thanks again, Saphire! 🥂

✨ Please note I do have some spring/summer availability for bridesmaids, groomsmen and other wedding guests suit and dress alterations but these appointments do need to be booked at least 3 weeks before the event. Better to book sooner rather than later - you'll thank me in the summer 😉

Hello - it's Keri! The seamstress behind Garland Garments. I am here for all your garment sewing needs! I thought I should share a photo of my face for all my new followers, so obviously I dusted off this stunning photo from a few years back. 👋

With over 14 years in the industry I have the skills and experience to alter your clothing to create the perfect fit. From expert suit tailoring to wedding dress alterations - I can do it all. Have clothing you'd like to keep in rotation? I can repair and redesign to keep your clothing wearable.

I am currently in my busy season - thank you Vancouver Island for all the support and referrals!! I am unable to accommodate any rush alterations, sorry! I do recommend pre-booking for all late spring and summer events (bridesmaids and groomsmen this note is for you 😉). I am currently asking for 3 weeks minimum for all formal wear alterations.

I am fully booked for prom 2026 and bridal alterations for weddings happening August or sooner. Please pre-book soon if your a September & October bride needing alterations, spots are limited.

Availability update for formal wear alterations -
✨ Fully booked for bridal alterations for weddings happening April - July.
✨ A few spots remain for prom dress alterations - please book before April 15th.
✨ Bridesmaid and groomsmen alterations available for weddings happening at the end of April or later. Please book at least 3 weeks before the event.

Now to show off some of the early brides of 2026!
Amanda came in with this stunning sequence wedding gown for her early January wedding. It fit very large and she was not a fan of the fully zipped back. This dress went through a huge transformation (and I even remembered to take a before photo to share!). Everything was taken in - center back, the side seams, the hips and the straps were shortened. The zipper was shortened to the waist and I created a corset finish for the bodice - who doesn't love an adjustable fit for your wedding day?! A decent hem and a simple english bustle finished off the alterations to create a stunning fit! This was such a challenging alteration but the end results were amazing!

Happy Wednesday everyone.
I wanted to show this before (top) and after (bottom) of this amazing sleeve transformation I had the opportunity to do for a lovely March bride.
The dress came with an off the shoulder sleeve with a super, over the top, flowy flounce. It did not match the brides vision. I was able to use the old sleeve fabric to create a brand new shape of sleeve and it turned out absolutely marvelous! The perfect sleeves for this stunning wedding dress. 😍😍

Spring time availability update!
✨ Fully booked for bridal alterations for wedding happening April - June. For brides getting married July and August, please get those appointments pre-booked to secure your fittings, spots are limited. Lots of availability for weddings happening September and later.
✨ Prom dress alterations are still available - lots of room left for all kinds of prom alterations. Please book those appointments online before April 15th. No exceptions.
✨ Bridesmaids, groomsmen, and all other formal wear alterations are welcome. Suit & dress alterations available! Casual wear alterations are also still available - but please no rush jobs.

Not all alterations are big jobs. Sometimes you only need minor adjustments to your wedding dress - a hem and a french bustle was all that was needed to turn this stunning drapy wedding dress from nice to WOW!! I am here for ALL formal wear alterations, big and small, to make sure you feel comfortable and are looking your best for all your special occasions.

Need alterations this spring? Book online to secure your fitting time. Bridal alterations - please book at least 8 weeks before your big day. Prom alterations must be booked before April 15th. Bridesmaid/dress & groomsmen/suit alterations - please book for at least 2 - 3 weeks before the event.

It has been a busy few weeks at the home studio! Lots of bridal fittings and other casual wear and formal wear alterations coming in and I am so thankful! Please remember to plan ahead for all spring time formal wear alterations, you'll thank me later.

✨Prom goers - now is the time to start thinking about your prom dress and suit alterations. Please book those fittings before April 15th. If your ready with your shoes and garments now - come see me this month during my slower season for a super smooth alteration experience. Availability will become limited closer to April - plan ahead!

✨Bridal alterations for June and July wedding are booking up the fastest this year. Please book those bridal fitting for summer weddings ASAP. I still have room for any March - May brides still needing alterations. Message me with any questions - I am here to help create the dress of your dreams!

Now back to talking about my wonderful 2025 brides. Sarah came in this this stunning strapless lace gown for her fall wedding. The gown was a great consignment find but needed some touch ups to bring it back to its former glory. The alterations included a major hem - re-pressing all the horsehair braid trim for the perfect finish, taking in the chest and fixing the warped boning. Other minor repairs were done for the absolutely perfect fit. This was such a great dress!! Thanks again, Sarah!
