Here is a video of a cleaning and restoration of a Buck 110 folder. The knife is a 1978/79 and has seen better days. The goal was to clean the knife up but still retain the character of a well used blade! I have found my new favourite go to spray l**e and oil to protect and l**e knives!

Do you have any knives that you just can’t get sharp? There are many exotic steels out there that are extremely difficult/impossible for the average knife user to sharpen. Steels such as CPM-S110V and other extremely high alloy steels are very difficult to sharpen because of their high wear resistance and the shear amount of carbides present in the steel. Carbides like vanadium are far harder than your average sharpening stone. These steels need the right stone to effectively sharpen them. A diamond stone is a must in the case of S110V. If you have a knife in a super steel that you can’t get sharp, contact me and I can help you out!
