On our NEW Monday weekly post, we posed the question, and today we have the answer! Did you get in on the $50 draw?

Question: What materials are orthotics made from?👣

Answer: There are two types of orthotics. One is called functional and they are usually made from more rigid materials like polypropylene(plastic), carbon graphite and acrylic. This is more corrective orthotic typically for people who pronate too much.
The second type is an accommodative orthotic which is softer and made from EVA, cork or other softer foams. This is for arthritic feet, diabetic feet who are at high risk for sores, people who have rigid, high arches and others who can’t to,erase a harder orthotic. They do break down faster as they are softer.
The covers are made from cushioned foams like neoprene, poron and other materials like leather and vinyl.
