☘️ A little note from your Irish Canadian friends...

We were raised with this philosophy:
“Whatever you say, say nothing.”

And when it comes to when it comes to politics, religion, and other people's arguments, it’s served us pretty well. Besides, we’ve got better things to do.

BUT…
Our shop is in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
The clue is literally in the name.
We love this town. We are proud to be here.
We are proud to be situated right on this
big, beautiful, sparkling body of water.
And we are protective of every. last. drop.

So, just this once, we're not saying nothing. Instead, we’re putting our foot down.

It's Lake Ontario. 🇨🇦🌊

…..Right, that’s settled then xx

(Don’t worry, American friends - we still love you and you’re always welcome through our doors.

We’ll share our sweaters.

We’ve shared a border with Canada for as long as we’ve been here, but sharing a border and being divided by one have never been the same thing. A few thoughts on our Canadian friends and why Jay has always been better for having them on this side of it.

Where the iconic Claddagh ring originated!

🏠 The Claddagh, Galway, around 1900 - colourised

A glimpse of the old Claddagh village before much of it disappeared, when rows of traditional cottages stood beside Galway Bay and the area still retained its distinct fishing-community character.

What a weekend! We were very busy and it’s so great to see just how much our handpicked pieces are loved by everyone that visits.
