Happy New Year! I have been working on this cardigan and literally finished it just before midnight 😂. It is Moonshine by Natasja Hornby and my first cardigan with button holes and pockets. It is super soft made with Marion Karol’s One Stitch More New Crimson Red Cash Luxe 100% cashmere. An absolute dream to knit with and so very very soft. I think I am addicted to yet another of Marion’s yarns 💕😂

The holiday season is an excellent time to do some knitting while on the road. This shawl is 4 ever in Blue Jeans by Cally Monster and my second one since I loved the first one so much.

It’s winter and that means beanie and hat knitting! Here are some of my recent hats, some free patterns, some paid, all lovely! Hats are a great way to use up bits and bobs from larger projects and that’s Over the Mountain made with One Stitch More temptation sport in gray, blue, and a burst of yellow. Prim (white one) is by Andrea Mowry and was a quick easy knit. The January Hat knit in December was a lot of bobble work and I love the final look.

I have been doing some test knitting lately and this was a cute one. The pattern was released yesterday and I am sharing my version of this beautiful designed by Emily Libbey. Very Canadian, eh?

Tis the season … for knitting winter toques for a local charity. I aim for 25 as my goal and I’m finally there!

It’s been awhile since I posted anything. Life has kept me busy but I made time to knit baby toques and adult hats for the local hospital and charity, and managed to finish a test knit sweater pattern called the Chives Sweater. Back to toques now 😂

Lately, I’ve been helping designers test knit from shawls to sweaters as well as baby toques for the Oakville hospital.

It’s rewarding helping them finalize their patterns. Below is Ae Fond Kiss shawl, Max Fox sweater, and Dreaming of Lilies brioche shawl. Also gave my Frank Shawl to a friend who’s SIL is going through cancer treatment as she could use the hug and warmth. Now I can knit a replacement shawl 😉

I finished a test knit for an upcoming Melanie Berg design, Accidentally in Love… it’s made with One Stitch More deep lilac plus MadTosh black and Ush*ta Vivid and made a dramatic colourful shawl.

I’ve been stash busting trying to use up small quantities of colours from other projects. This lovely pattern by Melanie Berg, One Stripe More, is a good one for that and turns out different every time 💕

Happy New Year! This is my first project of 2025, a single skein shawl I took with me on my trip to NYC. It’s Joji’s Broken Wings. She has interesting design features and the bobbles on the one end give it extra flair. Yes lately I’ve been on a purple kick 😂
