We haven't had an order for masks since before Christmas, so with the hundreds of templates cut out we refuse to waste the material. So, we're using them to sew clothes for the Barbies we're refreshing, and sending them to a few orphanages in Mexico. We're very anxious to get the dolls to these children, and we've been promised a group photo with many smiles.

Of course, we also need to put some outfits up for sale, so we can fund acquiring necessities such as previously loves dolls, shoes and postage.

Stay tuned for more creations, and please keep us in mine if you find any donations of dolls or suitable materials.

Some wonderful news! As some may know, I have been sewing Barbie clothing for my G-Daughter, and she loves them very much.

I've started collecting Barbies, in any condition, bathing them, setting up their hair, and sewing new outfits for them ... for a special reason. These dolls may not be new, but they will be going to Mexico for some children who don't know what's coming yet. I've seen first hand that these very happy children have little to nothing, and I've spoken to some care-givers in Mexico that tell me the dolls will be gratefully received.

Yes ... full disclosure, I do sell some outfits I make, and some of the dolls I receive, which allows me to fund the purchases required to work on this project. With any fortune at all, this will become something that is wide spread ... and reaches many children, rather than just the ones I can manage on my time off.

If you have, or know of someone who has dolls they no longer want to keep, I will be grateful for the connection. All the dolls will be supplied as fast as I can manage, and free of charge. At this time I am working with an extensive supply of material from making masks, an impressive amount of thread from inheriting my Mom's entire sewing room, and the rest of the playscale items required are purchased by myself. Of course, this also means I'm in a great need of shoes!
