Gosh what a journey this has been! I can't believe this chapter is coming to a close. I don't want to say end, because it isn't really. It's a chapter in a book, and we are starting a new one now.

I am closing my shop this week. I will be traveling west to see my parents and then in November crossing the big pond to Europe to stay with my family for a couple months. Then me and my little family are moving to Tanzania!! ✈

I want to thank everyone for their support, orders, likes, comments, and shares. I've enjoyed it so much. I hope to start up another sewing journey once we're settled, I hope to find you then again.

But for now it is goodbye 👋 ❤

On Easter weekend, I was contacted by a customer asking if I could make shorts for her son's Easter basket. She would need them that day to put in the basket for the following morning. I said sure! They luckily don't take too long to make.

She also asked if I could make a matching shirt for her in a solid color. I told her I did not have the fabric, but she said no rush.

So now I have made this adorable turquoise shirt to match the shorts had I made at Easter.

So last year on the 7th of May I created my first ever Instagram account. That account was for my little business ☺ I can't believe it's been a year already!

If you may think, "gosh you didn't have Instagram before then?" No I didn't haha I have Facebook and pinterest, that was enough social media for me. But I knew Instagram had become the spot for small businesses. So, not only was I learning about running a small business but I was also learning about how to use the Instagram platform! Gosh was that a learning curve!!

But I am so thankful with and proud of myself for what I've done:

➡️ started a small business by myself
➡️ learned how to navigate IG
➡️ gained 400 followers
➡️ met amazing makers locally and around the world
➡️ learned new sewing skills
➡️ figured out reels
➡️ and made so many people smile and laugh

I'm sure I can add to this list, but this is what my pregnant brain can think of right now haha
