I just finished trying out another new-to-me pattern by Anna Graham | Noodlehead — the Quarry Tote in the small size. The round base makes for a really cute shaped bag. I’ll be bringing this one and hopefully a few others with me to Almonte Fibrefest on September 12 & 13 …I can’t believe it’s only two weeks away!

The Mini sized Fieldstone Tote 😍makes a great little project bag! This is the first time I have made one of these bags and I loved how the construction allows for a large accent panel. This one features my favourite design by Jillian Anderson 😍

I think this bag style would be a good lunch bag shape too….I just might have to make some with waterproof lining and insulation 🤔

I’ve had this beach tote cut out for over a month and I finally got it put together. Construction wise, it’s a cross between a Anna Graham | Noodlehead Wool+Wax Tote and an Oxbow on the outside with extra pockets and a key fob on the inside. I fudged the size of the bag to use up every last scrap of the Zipper Valley | Bag Supplies DayFlex I’ve had in my stash for well over a year … maybe two 😆. I reinforced the exterior with Emmaline Bags - Janelle MacKay EB Fuse Heavy - it took some convincing to get it to stick - but in the end it worked. This bag was a birthday present for one of my besties and I filled it with all her favourite snacks to take up to her cottage.

I’m working on getting more project bags finished up for the Almonte Fibrefest including these gorgeous Kato’s 😍. I will have three sizes with me — mediums which hold 4-6 balls of yarn (50g), larges which hold 8-10 balls and extra larges that can fit a whopping 14-16 balls of yarn! This will be my first time vending at the Fibrefest and I am super excited to be able to bring along not just my regular style bags and pouches but also more purpose made bags for fibre based arts and crafts. I can’t believe it’s August ☀️ already. The summer is whizzing by and I’ve been hard at work on a large secret order that I can’t about share yet. In the meantime, just look at this beautiful custom crossbody that I just finished up for a customer. I used the Aberdeen Tote from Hammerstitch | Christine Dans as the starting point and adjusted the measurements to be much wider, deeper and shorter. As a result, I ended up modifying the construction of the front zipper pocket and added a recessed zipper to the top.

It’s been a while since I made the Anna Graham | Noodlehead Open Wide Pouch but it is still my all time favourite, especially for knitting and crochet projects. I love the way you can fold back the sides for easy access to everything inside. I’ve made a whole bunch of these for 613flea this Saturday, July 4th in three sizes — medium (holds approximately three 50g balls of yarn), large (6 balls) and I extended the pattern to make an Extra Large size that holds 10-12 balls of yarn! Of course you don’t have to use these great pouches for yarn. You can use them for anything that needs organizing…makeup, cables, small toys, jewelry, stationary/pencils, books…

I am excited to share that my next market will be on July 4th so mark your calendars! My home studio is overflowing with the new items I am going to be bringing with me including this adorable 🥰 hedgehog Hillside Tote. The base of this bag is made from waxed canvas from BEAM Creative Designs and I have to say it is my new obsession. I bought some for the first time a few months ago and have really enjoyed sewing with it ever since then. It sews like butter and does not leave any waxy residue on my machine. I definitely see more waxed canvas sewing in my future.

I made another Lucy Train Case and it turned out pretty cute 🍓😍 if I do say so myself. I made the large size but changed up the interior slip pocket for a zipper pocket. Diane’s pattern () is very well written and quite easy to modify to suit your own needs. This would make a great project bag or travel bag for your accessories, jewelry and makeup.
