To honour her legacy, we’re including the Cornell archive link to her book “The Mary Brooks Picken Method of Modern Dressmaking”
A time capsule that still reads fresh.
Gratitude for her work and for lighting the way for generations to come.

Please Save the Date! The 2023 Annual General Meeting will be held November 1st at 7pm ET on Zoom.
This is an excellent opportunity to get to know other folks in the Canadian textile space from farmers to makers and to help the Board set the right course for the 2024-2025 year.
We have a couple projects in the works we’re excited to share and can’t wait to hear your ideas and updates.

Next Thursday, Oct 12, and will be presenting at the next meeting on Natural Canadian Textiles.

We’ll be discussing how to source fabric and other textiles from Canadian farms rather than continuing to rely on plastic/petroleum fabric imports. We’ll be introducing the model and providing some examples on how to support and become local fabric producers.
