One of the most special and unexpected blessings is the way these little slippers have found their way into the hands of parents who have experienced a lost pregnancy. I first gave a pair to friends of my daughter, who lost their first child only a few weeks into the pregnancy. It was my way of showing them I recognized their loss, this very loved child and the hopes and dreams they had for their family to grow. It was my way of saying, “I see you, my heart breaks, but I have hope that you will, one day, become parents.” They both cried and told me it was such a special gift. They later used those same slippers as a way to announce they were expecting, a few months later. What an honour!!
Since then, several other pairs have been given, and each time those parents expressed such gratitude that their little one, and the loss they experienced, was recognized.
This last pair was for a very dear couple who recently miscarried a little girl, and it’s with their blessing that I share this. Lily, you were SO loved! Bede and Maria, I see you! 💕
