So much happening! Here are some the things happening in Manotick Village

Save this and start mapping out your day.
Manotick Legion Branch - is hosting the art lounge , you will find the Prettiest Petal Miniature Cows and Ottawa Caricatures the moment! Manotick Fire Station will be there to show off their equipment. Youth of Manotick Association will have crafts and activities - 6Tigers Academy will also be at the art lounge.

Kemptville Legion Pipes & Drums will be performing, and talking to families about learning the pipes and drums. there will be some interactive stations. Pipe Major Hugh Metcalfe will be onsite to answer questions.

Manotick School of Music will have some performers at Royal Lepage on Main Street. Award winning Canadian Fiddler Chad Wolfe will be roaming the Village.

Kemptville Legion Pipes & Drums AT Spring Fling 2026

You’ll hear them before you see them.

The Kemptville Legion Pipes & Drums will be at the Manotick Legion as part of Spring Fling — bringing both the power of the bagpipes and a chance to get involved.

OUTSIDE
• Traditional bagpipes and Highland drumming— loud, proud, and impossible to miss

INSIDE
• Smallpipes — same tradition, much quieter (your ears will thank you)

INTERACTIVE + ALL DAY
• Try drumming on practice pads
• Electronic chanter available for pipers who want to play a tune
• Meet the band and learn more about getting started

PIPE MAJOR HUGH METCALFE will be on site to answer questions about:
• Learning the bagpipes
• Joining a pipe band
• Getting involved at any age or skill level

Based just down the road in Kemptville (about a 20 km drive), the band is a strong part of the local community — performing at ceremonies, supporting events, and honouring service members through music.

It’s a great opportunity for kids, families, or anyone with Scottish heritage — or just curiosity — to experience it up close.

All part of everything happening at the Legion, alongside the Art Lounge, caricature artist, face painting, crafts, mini cows, and more.
