It is with regret and sadness that The informs you of the passing of a serving member of The Regiment. Pte Giovanni DeFreitas passed away this morning, Monday 4 November, at Toronto General Hospital. Giovanni was 24 years old.

Pte DeFreitas was a brand-new soldier to the CAF and to The Regiment. He was sworn in by 32 CBG Battle School and went directly into his Basic Military Qualification course before stepping foot on our Parade Square. Though he met very few of us, he was a Tor Scot. While on course, he performed very well and was highly regarded by his peers and staff.

Lest we forget. Nous nous souviendrons d'eux.

C'est avec regret et tristesse que le vous informe du décès d'un membre actif du régiment. Le sdt Giovanni DeFreitas est décédé ce matin, lundi 4 novembre, à l'hôpital général de Toronto. Giovanni était âgé de 24 ans.

Le Sdt DeFreitas était un tout nouveau soldat des FAC et du Régiment. Il a prêté serment à l'école de combat du 32e GBC et a entrepris directement son cours de qualification militaire de base avant de fouler notre terrain de parade. Bien qu'il n'ait rencontré que très peu d'entre nous, il était un Écossais de Tor. Pendant le cours, il s'est très bien comporté et a été très apprécié par ses pairs et le personnel.

CanuckGear has re-branded to BattleWorx Industries to align more with our goal of being the go-to patch and nametape supplier for Canada’s military and first responder community.
