We’ve always been huge fans of Dolly around here. I can’t even recall how many books I’ve sold about her over the years. Few people embrace everything I feel is important in life, but Dolly was sure one of them. 💛 And a world without Dolly means more of us will need to fill those rhinestone studded shoes!!!

A day late, but we wanted to share a big congrats to our neighbours Dinette Atomique on their 1st birthday! From the first day Jeff & Vu began building this incredible restaurant they have brought so much joy and delicious food to the neighbourhood. We could not have asked for better people to run this delightful local hub next door to our shop. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or planning a special dinner this is THE spot to go. Good news!! We’ve received an official letter resolving issues with our building owner! Thank you all for the incredible support - I have no doubt that every positive thought and action helped save our little shop. What a wild experience. Your own quiet rebellion is usually the most powerful. I believe it creates a sort of magnetic energy that draws people in - the strength of your own conviction will resonate with the right people. And before you know it, you have an army of do-gooders who will walk with you through life’s challenges. So when people say “love yourself” this is what I take from it - Love your own ideas and beliefs enough to start a quiet rebellion.

This is your reminder to keep going, no matter what. Yes. Even if you’re not sure. What I’ve learned in nearly 8 years of owning a business, is that sometimes it’s just about keeping the lights on. 💡 Last week I literally had to keep the lights on (long story, feel free to ask sometime), and other times it’s about keeping my inspiration alight. And believe me when I say that if I can do it, you can too!!
