❓”Are you still making scrub hats?” ❓

Here’s the long answer:

569 days… it has been 569 since my children and I fled family violence. Our lives changed forever.
Sewing used to be my coping mechanism, my escape from the hell we were living in… my safe space.
It has been 569 days of healing. It has taken this long to finally be able to sit in front of my sewing machine again without flashing back to my past.
We have come so far in those 569 days, putting our lives back together, focusing on peace and positivity.
As I sit here now, my mind is at ease, and most importantly we are safe.

This Thanksgiving I am grateful for every single person who has helped us get through.
Thank you for being so patient.

Cheers to new beginnings and pushing forward! 🥂
