Early days!
A long bumpy jeep trip out to the indigo village of Balotra in 1990.
I recall that the name of this master indigo printer was Yaseen.
My highest respect for the wood block printers of Rajasthan who I've had the privilege to work with all these decades.
Somehow the block printers we worked with eventually came around to accepting my madcap ideas to innovate and adjust traditional printing methods to create new printing techniques.
Thus, Soma Blockprints thrived and grew! Fourty years along in 2024. High quality and design since 1984.
