A long time ago, I had a bag that I guess would be called a messenger bag. I’m pretty sure it came from the Army Surplus store in the city.
I’m making my version of it with various shades and shapes of denim.
As always the first takes a while because I figure it as I go.

Hoping to finish another label bag this evening and start prepping this jute coffee bean sac. That is unless I decide to plop on the sofa and not move. 😂

Each label bag I make is different from the other. This one has a back jean pocket as well as 5 inside pockets.
There are 6 different jean labels for 6 different pairs of jeans.
The strap goes from shoulder to cross body and finally a snap closure…$40

Bag #61

This generous tote bag incorporates both blued denim overalls and tan/brown jeans.
The front pocket of the overalls still functions as a pocket and the snap closure is in keeping with the overall snap colour of weathered brass.
There are 3 inside pockets as well and generous should straps from the jeans.

Bag #60

This is a one of a kind denim tote bag.

Made from reclaimed denim waistbands, belt loops belt loops and pockets.
In keeping with reclaimed textiles, the lining is from a reclaimed cotton curtain and has 3 inside pockets

This various coloured denim lends to its uniqueness.

Even the handles used to be waistbands which can be seen with the buttons and button holes that I kept.

This is the perfect bag for shopping trips or a day out on the town.

This is a one of a kind bag that will make heads turn.

Purple denim and a lining of purple flowers. I think this is going to be a beauty…but only if you are a purple lover.

Wow! What an amazing day today was at the Opening Market of Cumberland Farmers Market.
Thanks to everyone that came by to see me today! I feel like at the end of each market I have made a whole bunch of new friends!
These are the 3 bags I have left.
My next markets are July 18 and 19.
Can’t wait to see everyone and of course there will be new bags!

I will be set up indoors in the main hall tomorrow. Rain just doesn’t agree with having my upcycled bags outdoors.
